Is It Ok to Use Retinoids and LED Light Therapy Together?

I am wondering if it's safe to use a triretinoin product (.05%) with an LED device (BabyQuasar)? I understand that retinol products cause photosensitivity, so I want to be sure I won't be causing damage to my skin by using these treatments together. Thank you!

A: Retin-A and LED light use....

Absolutely ok! Continue using your Retin-A nightly and just be sure to use daily sunscreen. There should be no problem with your LED light and the use of Retin-A.

Hope this helps.

LED Treatment for Actinic Keratosis?

Does LED Light Systems Help or Work with Atinic Keratosis & if So What Were the Results? I am also interested in it's use verse IPL for Rosacea. Information on IPL's is more abundant than with LED lights and hence I would appreciate input on LED.

A: LED Alone Will Not Treat Actinic Keratosis

I'm sorry but LED alone is not effective on Actinic Keratosis.  Combing the light with Levulan will treat sundamaged skin that has precancerous lesions like Actinic Keratosis.

Hope this helps.
