I Need Vertical Lenth in my Chin, Chin Implant Not Helping,I Want a Enlongated Heart Shape Face.

I had chin implant doctor outside of US.The implant was boxy, gave me infection and was displaced so 2 mos back removed it and got a new silicone implant while i was getting a rhinoplasty from US.I was happy that the old implant gave me lenth.New implant is the laregest of it's size but face looks round. what can be done? How much Genioplasty cost and what is the recovery time? Can it be done in 2 mo after chin implant? My rhinoplasty was v.bearable,is Genioplasty is more hard to deal with?THANKS!!

A: Elongated, Heart Shaped Face

Pictures would be helpful, but a genioplasty id the best way to elongate the face. As long as your occlusion is normal,  your experience with a genioplasty will be similar to that with your rhinoplasty.

Are There Any Plastic Surgeons Familiar With THe V-Line Chin Augmentation?

I saw this website on V-line chin augmentation. Are there any doctors in the los angeles area that are familiar or are capable of doing this type of surgery? or is this only available in korea? http://eng.idhospital.com/sub02/index402.asp

A: V-line surgery

I have had other patients inquire about this particular surgery.  Fortunately, I have been able to assist them to achieve these results in a better and easier way.  Please seek a consultation with a board certified specialist in the face who can assist you to achieve the goals you desire.

Can a Long Face Be Fixed with Plastic Surgery?

My face is very long, I have both a large forehead and a larger chin. I would not be interested in fillers to make it wider because I feel it would just be huge then. I want to know if a chin reduction or forehead reduction would be beneficial, if yes, which will be more so? Thank for any advice! I'm also aware of the ptosis of my left eye, which I plan to fix as well.

A: Long face and large forehead. Jaw surgery is more invasive and traumatic. For 35 years since we invented the Irregular Trichophytic Hairline lowering procedure this is the way to achieve your goal of a lower hairline and less forehead. If I do this on wednesday you can usually return to work on monday. If the scalp is too tight we place a tissue expanded(balloon) under the scalp to stretch it first. The hairline can be lowered 1/2 to 2 inches.
