my doctor used 3/4 ampule of restylane to fill my upper lip . the result was great just after the injection .. 2 hours later i had a huge huge swelling and my mouth looked like a duck . i kept icing the area and i used (surgam) to reduce the swelling . now after 5 days of injection . i feel that i didn't do anything and the effect has gone . doctor said that i need to retouch . but it will worth or i will have the same result ? thank you
It is expected to have swelling after Restylane or any type of filler is injected. After a several days, sometimes up to a few weeks, the swelling will subside. Once this has happened, patients feel like the product has disappeared, when it in fact it has not. It just appears that way because there was significant swelling before settling down. If there is any doubt, ask to see your before photos.
It's usually recommended that 2 syringes are used per eye; $1000 per syringe. Why is restylane so expensive? Is appears cheaper and more convienent to get an under eye implant atleast the results will be permanent where as with restylane you'll have to come back approximately every 6 months to 1 year for injections. Someone please help, I need undereye hollows filled but I can't afford $3000-4000 for restylane injections.
Restylane under the eyes can lead to dramatic improvement in your overall appearance. This is generally recommended over eye implants depending on your goals.
Cost will depend on multiple factors--the most important being the skill of the injector, your geographic location, any rebates offered by the manufacturer, and cost of the product. Be wary of any deals that seem too good to be true, as you often get what you pay for.
In my experience, Restylane will typically last 1-1.5 years in the undereye area. I tend to be more conservative to avoid having my patients look like they've had something done. Depending on how much product you need to volumize this area, I sometimes start with one syringe and add additional product later.
I had a half syringe under each eye with no results for dark circles.. Injector told me up front I need full syringe under each write, I'm going back in 2 wks for other syringe. Is it possible I wont see any results??
It's hard to say without evaluating you, but if your injector told you up front that you needed a full syringe for each side, then it is likely you will need a second syringe to get full correction.
