Thanks for your question.

In our San Francisco area practice, we find bruising to be very unusual after any injectable.

Guidelines to follow include:

Avoiding blood thinning medications prior to treatment (eg aspirin)
Go to an experienced injector
There are treatments (such as cool compresses) that can reduce the chance of bruising even further. Your injector should be able to help you with these.
