How many for improvement, and then how often to sustain the improvement?
We have had the photofacial system in our officed for 10 years. I am overall not impressed with results but some patients likede it. Every on varies but I feel a general statement is thar the patients with visable improvement had 4 to 6 treatments in the first year. The results were improvement but one could likely accomplish as much with the Obagi program alone. And remember the photofacial is sort of a life time adventure. Patients who kept the benefits did 2 or 3 traatment a year every year after the first initial year. I am not sure the photofacial is worth the cost but some liked it. If treatment costs are kept low then the cost benefit ratio may be okay.
I have done a photofacial on my breast for the sun spots 2 days ago and it is still burning, I have a lot of red swelling spots and black spots. For how long should I experience it and how do I know that it does not go wrong?
IPL Photofacial should not involve much of any down time. If one experiences persistent swelling and burning sensation after 2 days, excessively high energy may be used or you perhaps were not instructed to discontinue all potentially irritating skin care products 3-4 days prior to IPL Photofacial. Any topical retinoid, glycolic acid products, or prescription or OTC ance products should be backed off few days prior to minimize excessive irritation.
I wore the same sandals two summers ago and got brown stripes across my feet. I figured it would fade after 2 years, and while the demarcation isn't so obvious now, my feet still have a 'dirty' look to them. I wear sneakers all the time and they are still ugly. I would like the original color restored. My feet are small (sz 6).
I would see a board-certified aesthetic dermatologist first and get good recommendation on prescription-strength bleaching cream and skin care routine before doing IPL. Doing IPL blindly without a good skin care routine may result in worsening of pigmentation on your feet or anywhere else on the body.
