I am a 42 year old woman and getting a mini face/neck lift + upper eyes. I am about a few pounds heavier than I would like since Christmas but nothing extreme, that Bikram yoga quickly sorts out so I am wondering if I should just get to actual ideal or ..will this have much of an impact to go ahead and have surgery booked 30 JAnuary ? Deliberating if I need to defer for another 30 day or will it be fine to work with? Surgery is with Basrim Matti who like God.....!Please advise :-)
Hi Suzie,
Not really. The change in weight would have to be substantial. 5 even 10 pounds should not make much difference. 30 days wouldn't make a significant difference. Hope that helps.

I am a 29 years old asian female, and last December I underwent zygoma, mandible reduction and acculift in Korea. I have always had a bit of baby fat on my cheeks, and now it seems that my face is even chubbier. I do not know whether it is because of sagging after the facial bone surgeries, or because the pushing in of my zygoma naturally made the lower third of my face look heavier. I would say that my skin tone is still quite good. Would a mini-lift help restore a proper face proportion?
I would recommend that you have a personalized consultation with a board certified facial plastic surgeon who can best address your areas of concern. Unfortunately, I have had many patients who require revision surgery following surgery in Korea or Asia with less than desired results.
I am in my mid 30s and slender. I am noticing aging in my lips and lower face that is very upsetting to me. I have dimples (2-3 each side) in my lower face. I also have some acne&scarring. Family history of jowls. Fat transfer to my cheeks and fillers to folds have not helped issues. Also, fat transfer surgeon put fat in one of my dimples and now I have an annoying fat pocket. My new MD has recommended fillers and cortisol, but says its too soon for mid lift. I am so bothered by this. Options?
There are different options to address the midface region that are either surgical or non-surgical. Please schedule a customized consultation with a board certified specialist in the face to determine the best solution to address your areas of concern. There is no right or wrong age to have surgery--it depends on what your concerns are and how best to achieve the results you desire.
