Had a great rhinoplasty experience with Dr. Buonassisi. I'm a Vancouver resident and wanted someone nearby who had a good reputation. A friend of mine had her nose done with Dr. B and felt her result was very natural so I trusted him from the get go. Throughout the whole process I trusted his opinion on what he felt fit my face the best, while definitely pushing for a large difference as some of the result pictures he posted looked quite similar from the before and after. He absolutely delivered on that request. I had an ultrasound technique done and healing was much easier than I expected, hardly any bruising and facial swelling. Cast came off after 6 days and it was definitely huge and asymmetrical for a couple weeks but that all sorted itself out by week 3-4. 0 breathing problems by the 1-2 month mark. Dr. B was very knowledgable, understanding, and approachable throughout the whole process, and undoubtedly realistic when it came to what result he could provide while keeping it looking natural. I was definitely freaked out by some of the results on this site, but am beyond grateful things worked out in my case as I know thats not everyone's experience. At 2 months I'm very happy and feel I can photograph without insecurity.

I was unsure of having any cosmetic surgery. I always thought it was best to leave it to mother nature. However, the hoods on my eyes were drooping into my eyesight/view and also drawing my facial expression down. I went to see Dr Buonassisi and he explained the procedure to me and showed me what he would be doing and then was so reassuring that it was up to me as to whether I should do it and that it is a personal decision. I felt no pressure at all. I think that is what gave me the nerve to have the procedure. I went to his office and he froze my eyelids and within half an hour the procedure was complete. I was fully awake the whole time and there was no pain. I was amazed at the recovery time. Within 2 weeks you could not tell I had had surgery. I still have a slight scar but it is in the crease of my eyelid so it is not noticeable and is healing and fading with each passing week. I would highly recommend Dr. Buonassisi and the procedure. I can honestly say it made my whole face look a little brighter and no one would be able to know I have had surgey.

I've seen Dr. Buonassisi for both rhinoplasty and upper blepharoplasty. From the moment you walk into his office, you know you are in extremely capable hands. He is very professional, kind and knowledgeable (A+ bedside manner). He gives you a thorough consult, and makes sure your expectations align with the outcome he can give you. It is apparent how much he cares about creating the best outcome, and ensuring you leave happy with your results. If you are looking to have an amazing experience from start to finish, and phenomenal results, this is the right surgeon for you.

A friend referred me to Dr. Buonassisi. I had been wanting rhinoplasty for years and years and finally pulled the trigger after seeing her results from him. His before and afters on the website showed very natural results and that was what I wanted. I did not want an aggressive approach and I am so happy with my results. My new nose matches what I pictured myself as, not what the mirror had been reflecting back. I am 3 months post op, so there is still some mild swelling that will take up to a year to go away but I am loving my results. The things that made me self conscious about it are now gone. It suits my face so well, that most people can't even tell I've had surgery. It's not until I show them the before and after that they realize how much has changed. That type of artistry is exactly what you want for facial surgery. It's not a generic button nose, and has retained some of its unique features, which is why it looks so so natural. I love it. My experience with the clinic staff from the moment I reached out has been amazing. Every question and concern was met promptly and professionally (And there were a LOT of questions I had the first couple weeks after surgery) I had a zoom consult as I was from out of town, and as soon as he explained what he would do, I couldn't wait. There were a couple areas I wanted changed and without me even elaborating, he explained what he would do for a cohesive, aesthetically pleasing look. His recommendations were exactly what I had been hoping for. My surgery was an open rhinoplasty and I did the conscious sedation which was great. I hardly remember any of it and the whole surgical suite staff were very professional and attentive. I flew home 48hrs later (with a quick visit to the office before my flight because I panicked a bit- again- amazing customer service). I was able to do a zoom call a week later to take off the cast, and had a follow up in person 9 weeks post op. Everything looks great and now I just wait for the last phase of healing.

I had a deep plane neck lift with Dr. Buonassisi on June 5th 2024 and the experience was excellent. Consultation: I really appreciated that he took the time to answer all my questions in a way that felt like he was genuinely happy to answer them. I’ve had consults with other doctors that seem annoyed to answer the same questions they’ve been asked a million times, but he was the opposite. He said no to an additional procedure I inquired about but gave me very good reasons why. I appreciated the honesty and that he didn’t just say yes to take more money. The office staff was great at communication both before and after the procedure. Procedure: It was done under twilight anesthesia and I was conscious the whole time. I know some people go to sleep, but I didn’t. But I kind of loved it. I was able to hear how professional the whole team was during the surgery. I felt very well taken care of by him and the team at the False Creek Surgery Centre. The team at 8 West checked in on me after as well to make sure I was doing well after going home. Recovery: The twilight anesthesia felt much gentler to recover from which I appreciated. I had two drains for the first two days. They came out when the superficial stitches were removed. I was stiff and a bit sore but honestly it was a very easy recovery. The first week is the worst of it but I found it very tolerable. Dr. Buonassisi’s stitches and incisions are incredible. You already can’t see the scar in front of my ear and it’s only been a few months. Overall it was an amazing experience. I’ve already recommended him to friends and random strangers that have asked. I would go back to him for any future facial work. I’ll attach photos when I get them.

Dr. Buonassisi was absolutely fantastic, i would give 10 stars if i could! Starting with my consultation, it went really smooth and he walked me through the process of the procedure, what to expect, as well as what kind of results could be achieved. The day of my procedure was seamless, it was scheduled for the morning and i was done by noon. Both the staff at 8 west clinic and the surgical centre were more than amazing, they're all so kind as well as knowledgable and they made me feel comfortable with each step of the way. The recovery itself was really comfortable and i had little to no pain and very minimal bruising (which was surprising because quite a lot of work was done). The result turned out to be everything i wanted and more, huge thank you to Dr. B for working his magic!

My experience with Dr. Buonassisi was perfect from A-Z. During the initial consult he was clear, transparent and set realistic expectations - which he later over-delivered on by far! His work is outstanding. I felt safe throughout the entire procedure which was quick and smooth sailing. I say he has magic in his fingertips because the results are even greater than I had hoped for when I initially began dreaming of this upgrade to my eyes, which are now very happily rejuvenated. I cannot recommend Dr. B enough!

I went to Dr. Buonassisi for facial feminization surgery, which ended up being a brow lift followed two months later by rhinoplasty and upper blepharoplasty. From the initial consultation (conveniently over Zoom) to the surgeries to follow-up appointments, I felt well cared for and listened to in terms of my hopes and concerns — but I also appreciated expert advice and reasoning for recommending certain things to do or not. Dr. Buonassisi’s manner, along with the staff at 8West, was great at putting me at ease. The operations themselves went so smoothly, healing was uncomplicated and rapid following the instructions I was given, and the results are fantastic! Everything looks perfectly natural and subtle (and the incisions have faded away to be virtually invisible in a very short time) but the difference it has made to how I see myself is enormous;.

Leading up to my surgery date, Dr. Buonassisi and his team were in constant communications with me, ensuring I was prepared and had everything I needed. The day of my surgery, and even the days after my surgery, Dr. Buonassisi and his team continued to make me feel comfortable, and were available for any questions I had. I'm now 3 months post op and I am BEYOND happy with the results of my rhinoplasty, it is exactly what I was looking for and expecting. I recommend Dr. Buonassisi and his team to all my family and friends.
