thank you all for resp. to previous question. iam 35yo 5 8 246 lbs my weight has been stable for 10 yrs.tho the ps sug i lose at least 20 lbs. i carry most of my weight in my stomach sorry i donot have any pics...the nyc ps suggested i split the 2 for safety reasons stating the amount of fat/tissue that has to be removed for the tt it wouldn't be safe to proceed w a full back lipo the same day and that i can put a week bet the 2 procedures.iam comfortable w having the 2 procedures but not the time frame. any suggest
I have to agree with the others...At your weight, the risks of complications and death for such large procedures are too high...and I agree as well that the results will not be worth the risk.....
hello all, 4 years ago I did a tummy tuck, because I thought I was not going to have more babies, but now change of thinking and wanted to know if it is safe for me and baby, what are the SYMPTOMS? hurts when you're pregnant with a tummy tuck? what are the differences from normal pregnancy and when you have a tummy tuck. thanks for your time.
You should do fine! It has been my experience with my patients that the tummy stretches without problem and that after delivery, the tummy usually does not return to where it was before the TT ..but... there may be some "touching up" required!! But overall, patients do very well...
When I bend over I get a twinge of pain I feel like is from the stitches used in the ab separation. I had a 2" separation that was closed from the top to the bottom. I have been feeling great but just lately I feel like at the top and middle I feel a couple stitches. Are these permanent? Do they dissolve? What can I expect? I go by to my PS in 2 weeks -- just wondering if it is something I should worry about.
Most plastic surgeons use permanent sutures for the muscle repair while the rest use absorbable ones. You will have to ask your plastic surgeon which one he/she used.
You may feel some of these sutures now if your fat layer is fairly thin particularly with some resolution of swelling - so don't worry about this right now. When you see your plastic surgeon, have him/her check the areas of concern.
