I am 38 years old and very thin.I do not like how my neck is looking, I would like it to be defined again. Is this just fat or is it a turkey neck? , would liposuction do the trick or do I need something more drastic? neck lift etc
It appears from the limited photos that there are some early platysmal bands as well as minor skin laxity. There does not appear to be any excess fat so liposuction is out of the question. Maintain as much fat in your neck as possible (Fat = Youth). Botox can soften the muscle bands temporarily. I have had much success with SmartLipo or Laser Lipolysis in the neck area (not so much in other areas) as it actually tightens the skin by heating it from underneath. Hope that helps.
I am 39 years old, generally slim and youthful in appearance. I am 5'5 and 124 pounds, and have two children. I gained and lost about 50 pounds in each pregnancy. My neck skin is extremely wrinkly, crepey, and saggy. My face and body look 35, but my neck looks like it belongs to a 55-year old. I KNOW I have some sun damage there from some severe burns I got in my teens. I am also wondering if the weight gains and losses of pregnancy contributed to the sagging. What can I do?
As you know, age is only a number - on that genetically your body doesn't necessarily coincide with. And, yes, the weight gain and loss may be a factor. Loosey, creepy skin is best treated with a neck lift. This procedure can restore the neckline, jawline and your self confidence!
I had lower face and neck lift surgery 2 weeks ago. Everybody that I have spoken to who has had this surgery has had immediate results in the neck area. My neck still looks very strange and more saggy under the chin than before...is this normal? Also the edges of my face and one ear are completely numb...how long before my skin feels like it belongs to me again?
There are some healing variations from patient to patient. However, from what you are describing, it sounds like it would be best to talk to your surgeon directly. You would want to ask them if this type of change is normal for them following neck lift. The numbness is normal and will resolve in several months. Good Luck.
