Is This The Tyndall Effect or a Healing Bruise Under Eyes? (photo)
I had Juvederm XC injected into my tear trough area for under eye hallows 5 weeks ago. I had a SEVERE bruise under my left eye and a smaller bruise under my right. I still have a dark tint under both eyes and appear to have two black eyes without makeup. Does this look like the Tyndall effect or are the bruises still healing? The dr. Said he injected very deep so I should not end up with this effect. Would love others opinions based on my pictures. THanks
A: Tyndall or "blue-ing" can occur with some fillers. The first picture looks like a bruise (was this taken earlier?). After 5 weeks one would not expect to still see a bruise. Judging from the second and third photos I vote for Tyndall effect (which is actually a bluish color under the skin due to light reflecting over the filler). Hyaluronic acid fillers like Juvederm are famous for this, especially under the eyes. It can occur with deep placement because the skin is so thin under the eyes. Check with your doctor and ask about hyaluronidase. With one injection and 24 to 48 hours the material can be dissolved. Unfortunately your correction will also dissolve to some extent. In any event the color will go away on its own when the material naturally breaks down although that could take a year.
Zeltiq for Saddlebags: Am I a Candidate?
I have really made some changes over the last year with weight watchers and I have lost 15 pounds. Diet and exercise have helped me reach my ideal weight (125) but I cannot seem to reach my ideal body. I am relatively happy with everything else I just can't lose those saddlebags. They drive me insane.
Anyways, would I be a candidate for zeltiq? I just want my outer thighs/saddlebags reduced, and my thighs a bit more even. (they are kinda asymmetrical as you can see) Thanks!
A: Zeltiq CoolSculpting is effective for spot fat reduction.Saddlebags can be treated with CoolSculpting in some cases. The key is that you need to be able to "pinch and inch" or more. In otherwords, the handpiece draws the "fat" in and chills the fat. Sometimes the fat is too firm and will not be drawn into the handpiece sufficiently to treat the area. You will need to be examined by a CoolSculpting provider to know whether you are a candidate. It is difficult to determine by looking at a photo, unfortunately.
Can I Use Zeltiq if I'm Thinking of Doing IVF in the Next Couple of Months?
Can I use Zeltiq if I'm thinking of doing IVF in the next couple of months?
A: Zeltiq CoolSculpting freezes fat safely.Zeltiq works by freezing surface fat. There is no trauma to internal structures and would have no effect on fertility. There have been no long term side effects so it appears to be one of the safest ways to spot reduce fat avalilable.
