In-office dental bleaching didn't whiten my teeth at all. Why did this happen? What other treatments are there available that guarantee whiter teeth?
My experience is in office bleaching results do not please everyone. The maximum results possible usually require repeated applications especially if your teeth are quite discolored or have grayish tones. Everyone's teeth vary in the difficulty required to bleach and the amount they will lighten.
I've had porcelain crowns for 12 years.They have become stained due to the fact I smoke.Are there any solutions to cleaning them or will I have to have them remove?
Unless you had restorations done that looked like porcelain but were actually a composite material such as Artglass or Targis which actually do stain, all you need is your teeth cleaned and the porcelain polished. Stains do not penetrate the surface of quality porcelain restorations.
