I'm getting nervous! I've had my smooth saline implants for 8 years and now that I'm getting a little older I feel they look silly in my 120lbs 5'7 frame. Also, I'm more active than I was when I got them and just want small boobs again. I'm opting for local and not a lift. I'm hoping I don't regret not getting a lift, but I figure I can always go back later if they really don't bounce back... more
Beginning my Breast Implant Removal Journey. I was very young when I made the decision to get them. At this point in my life I want to feel "naturally beautiful" and love myself for who I am.
I got my implant in 2003 and I have never had any problems with them. I was very happy with how they turned out. I feel lucky to have gotten such a beautiful job.
I hope I can inspire other women that... more
I visited with Dr. Repta in 2014 and felt confident with his appraisal of my breasts. I wanted both implants to be removed.I also put down a $500.00 NON REFUNDABLE deposit, and schedule the surgery, only to find out that my husband and I were moving to Washington State and there would be no time for the surgery as well as recovery time. Dr. Repta only wished me the BEST, refunded the deposit... more
So, I've been reading posts and decided it's time for the consult. I am hoping to go natural and I know I will need a lift. It was 1984 when I first augmented under breast in San Diego. The surgeon decided I needed large 450cc. I was shocked at the size of the bandages afterwards, considering I was 27, 5'5 and 128 lbs. I had problems immediately with capsules and hard mis-shaped boobs.... more
I had breast implants for 17 years (Dr Spies was the doctor that put them in) and they were great as far as I never had any issues with them.... I personally had changed and decided that I wanted to go natural. My husband was worried what they would look like after being so big for so long. I, of course, went back to the BEST plastic surgeon ever, Dr Spies. He listened to what i was hoping to... more
I am scheduled for explantation tomorrow morning 12/15/14. Getting a bit nervous but really just want to get it over with so I can start healing. Here's my story: I had my first set of implants placed in 1990 but removed in 1991 due to the silicone scare at that time. I had been a 34Bish at that time and wanted to go up a size to 34C. They were placed by Dr. John Gibney in Scottsdale (he... more
This was absolutely one of the best decisions I have ever made...
Insight: Women face tremendous struggle and negative internal dialogue regarding the shape of their bodies. Along with societal influence, our image of self can become skewed and false. I had breast augmentation 12 years ago. Although it seemed the right choice at that time, the following years opened me to my truest self... more
In September of 1994 Dr. Lawrence Shaw did my BA. I've never had a problem with my implants, they always looked and felt great! (About 300/325cc's under the muscle) That was 20 years and 50 lbs ago! A lot has changed. I think they still look great; they don't sag as much as you would expect for a 51 year old woman - but they are killing my neck and back.
I went back to Dr. Shaw and he will... more
I wanted to do this review because I had issues that I couldn't fine anyone else having and wanted to share my experience. I had saline Textured Under The muscle Implants. I really had never had any problems with them til one day I woke up and My right side breast looked swollen and felt like something was under my arm. The pulling of my muscle was so bad, it was making my shoulder blade and... more
I would first just like to say that I'm so grateful for all the women who have posted on this site and how much everyone that I read has helped me. The pictures I truly think look so much better after than the before has given me the courage to do this review. I hope it helps someone like me and I hope having the PS info will help too. Thank you to everyone who has posted!! :)

I have had my implants for 4 years this month. I always had naturally largish breasts but after breastfeeding 2 kids they were saggy and sad. I decided to get implants. I wish now in hindsight I would have just had a lift, but no going back right!?
I have 320cc silicone overs. About 2 years ago my scar tissue thinned out and the implant poked through the top of my left breast (right at the... more
I had wanted my implants out since about two days after I got them in fourteen years ago. I had a second surgery eleven years ago to replace the implants with smaller ones and still wished I had them completely out.
I went to the same surgeon for both breast surgeries and then I had a mini tummy tuck by a second surgeon and had asked him about taking my implants out. He said they would droop... more
Last November one of my saline implants ruptured and I was left uneven. Options for dealing with this included removal or replacement of the implants. I ultimately decided to have both of the implants removed as I was no longer happy with my breast size or appearance. My experience of having the implants was kind of an unpleasant one, so going back was right for me, for now... more
I have had small silicone implants for 5 years. I continue to develop capsular contracture. The first time it was the right side, then it was the left side. It is worsening and continues to be firm and not as natural looking as I would like. I would like to just be small-breasted again.
I think that this site is SO very helpful to those that are unsure about procedures--especially one... more

Today I will let the sadness of my past drain from my heart and soul. I will not carry it in silence, a secret even from myself in an effort to look good or superior or all together. To be truly together I need to live comfortably with all my parts. (Tian Dayton) I read this today and it inspired me to tell my story. I got my first set of silicone implants at 18-you know why-FEAR. I... more
I often thought having breast implants would make me feel more confident about my breasts. I was terrified of surgery. After a divorce and losing 35#, my breasts were somewhat droopy. I actually thought they needed a lift. In 2005, I was talked in to BA instead. I have developed AI disease and gained weight since and now my boobs are huge and droopy. I tend to gain weight in my chest so... more
Hi Everyone! Thank you all for sharing your stories and pictures of breast implant removal. It has helped ease my fear (some;), and helped me make my decision to explant with no lift for now. I got my implants in 2003 at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ with Dr. Deborah Bash. I have 375cc saline implants. I have experienced tiny "zingy" pain hear and there and have had many health issues ever... more
I've had my implants for 5 years and am strongly considering explantation. I've read so many stories and comments, I thought it was time to share my own and hopefully get some feedback.
I am 5'10", about 140lbs with an athletic build. Before implants I was maybe a 34 B cup, or 36 A, depending on the bra.
I wanted breasts for many years. I waited all through my teens and my... more
Hi all! I am 64 years old, married, with grown sons. I have had silicone implants for almost 23 years now. They became hard quite awhile ago and I have been unhappy with them for a long time. I was always very small breasted and thought implants would make me feel better about myself. I never really felt comfortable with them, however. I lost some sensation in the breasts after the... more
