Is Vaser Lipo Under Local Anesthesia Painful?

If I choose to have Vaser Liposelection in my physicians office under local anesthesia will it hurt doing the procedure? Do they give an IV?

A: Vaser Liposuction should not hurt

The infiltration process is all you should feel. This does hurt but is over very quickly. The rest of the procedure is not painful. Operations that we really want are always less painful!

Vaser Lipo Recovery

I am thinking of having Vaser liposelection done on my inner and outer thighs and also my love handles; howeve, the date I have in mind is only one week before a holiday, is this a bad idea?

A: Give yourself time to recover from Vaser Liposelection

Typically, a week would be enough time to get up and around easily. However, surgery is stressful no matter how you look at it. I would advise you to wait until you are not in a rush to recover. Especially if you are trying to keep it to yourself and will be around other people. You will not sit and stand quite the same at a week.

Liposuction will no doubt make you sore. You will still be swollen and sore at a week. Let it be fun, give yourself plenty of time. You would rather be shopping and trying on your clothes than trying to keep a secret and push yourself to be well.

Is It Safe to Have VASER Liposelection and SmartLipo Done by a Regular MD?

If he had the training to use those machines and had performed over 100 surgeries, is he still qualified to conduct the procedure/s? I got a good feeling about him during consultation, but I'm worried because he's not a plastic surgeon. Should I have a plastic surgeon do the procedures instead ? Please help. Thanks.

A: If you want plastic surgery........See a Plastic Surgeon

Liposuction is much more complicated then it sounds, with complications and revision rates signifigantly underreported. If you're considering surgery, go with the gold standard which would be a fully trained Plastic Surgeon in most instances.
