I had a lower bleph in Oct 2021 and I was convinced to do the fat transfer to the mid-face even though I didn't want it. I'm generally happy with the bleph, but the fat transfer looks terrible on one side of the face. The only time I don't notice it is in extremely bright light. I'm not sure what type of doctor can help correct this or if there are any in my area. The surgeon I went to originally is in LA, which is an exhausting drive from my location.
I am 39F, 5'7, 140lbs. In effort to augment a weak chin, in 2019 I had facial fat grafting (sourced from flank) put in the chin and jaw line, as well to melomental folds, lips and under eye. Did not yield desired result. In 2021 received extended chin implant. Current concern is facial asymmetry, heavy and sagging jowls, thickness in lower face especially when smiling. Seeking opinion on any treatment options to correct and any additional cosmetic recommendations to better balance the face.
I have the exaggerated peanut shape to my cheeks. Every photo I see of myself since this procedure shows a face that is distorted. When I smile, my eyes are pushed up. I have lost my face. The surgeon suggested I massage my face in hopes it would redyce some of this, but I see no improvement. He has also offered to use Kybella to reduce some of the fat. What are your thoughts on Kybella? Could it work? How risky is it? Im very concerned that Ill regret that too.
I can see that most doctors recommend fat transfer over fillers for mid face. I know if I dont like the result of the fillers it can be removed but Im not sure what if I dont like the result of the fat transfer, can it be corrected?
I have undergone fat transfer by a local surgeon. I specified I only wanted to fill hollow under my eyes, but he ended up overfilling my whole face. I am now 3 weeks post operation. My under eyes are still swollen and my face look very fat. Is there a chance to go back near normal by liposuction ?
Why don't more surgeons use intact fat-fascia grafts to correct volume loss in the face? (I know that Dr. Moelleken trademarked the name LiveFIll for fat-fascia grafts; why don't others do these grafts?) Won't the survival of an intact fat-fascia graft be higher than fat that has been extracted, washed, centrifuged, and injected? Yes more surgical procedures are involved both at donor and recipient sites, but that can't be the main reason, when patients are undergoing surgical facelifts.
I had a fat transfer to the face in 2014. During healing I noticed a big mass in the Laugh line on the left side of my face, large bump under my left eye and a lumpy mass on my right temple. The dr injected something to dissolve in those areas over the course of 6 months and got slightly better but still left with a lumpy face. I feel really insecure in certain light as it accentuates these bumps. I was hoping to just wait it out but now I see lump under the other eye. Suggestions?
I had a fat transfer to my cheeks back in 2014. It's 2018 and my face still looks bloated. I want this corrected so I can move on with my life. I've turned into a recluse since the procedure. I've had quite a journey trying to make the transferred fat less noticeable over the years. I had cheek implants put in and taken out under local anesthesia (which I swear gave me PTSD). I've had jaw implants put in. (Which I am satisfied with). But my cheeks still bulge out.
Im 4 days post FG to temples, brows, cheeks and jaw. The doctor (very high rated) told me he used 70ccs and I was shocked!!! Too much I believe and he prides himself on getting much fat survival. I do not want this fat to survive! Im assymetrical and round like a plate face. Lips are overdone, brows overdone, temples gigantic. I know doctors say its just swelling. This is NOT all swelling. What are my options to correct???
