Neck/lower face lift 16 mo ago. See pics. Also dents in my cheek w/facial movement and small bumps(pimple size). I have burning in that area at times. Tight choking feeling on the left side of throat and pulling under chin. Had botox to jaw, sternomastiod and traps for spasms due to cervical neck problems 3 1/2 months ago. (had in the past before surgery...surgeon knew) After Botox I now get burning in sides of face and tightness under chin and throat is worse. Can this be fixed without surgery
I am not a heavy marijuana user. I smoke a few tokes 1-2x per week for neck pain and spasms. I was told not to smoke for 30 days but have seen where some docs say 2 weeks. I am in great health other than the neck problems. I would appreciate any thoughts.
I just had a mini facelift and upper and lower bleph. three weeks ago. Yesterday morning I woke up, went upstairs to wash my face and when I touched the washcloth to my forehead, my forehead reacted, suddenly spasming upwards and I couldn't control it. It only lasted 8 seconds but I wanted to know what that could have been. Nothing else has happened before or since. Could it just be an anomaly or is there some reason?
My face is really uncomfortable because it is aging fast and my brows are really heavy over my eyes as well as my cheeks are sagging. My cheeks have spasms and random twitches I can't control and I feel awful. sometimes they will go numb I can't even get a job because I can't pay attention to anything but this, and I'm worried other people will notice. It ruins my self esteem and hurts me at the same time. Thank you, your help is very appreciated.
Ever since a mini-lower face and neck lift 5 months ago, I've had intermittent tightness and spasms of the SCM muscle on one side. It also causes a tight, plugged-up feeling in the ear on that side. I'm receiving regular massages from a therapist but progress is slow. Would an injection of botox help calm the SCM down? Are there any risks? The ps who performed the surgery doesn't like the idea but a ps I saw for a 2nd opinion thinks it's a viable option. Thank you for your opinion.
I am 5 weeks post facelift. I had one facial spasm at about 5 days post-op where my facial muscles contracted so the eyes both "squinted" shut very quickly. The second one was at 5 weeks in my right lateral neck muscle underneath the ear (sternocleidomastoid). My swelling is still resolving in the jaw area under the ears, so I am wondering is it a response to this?
