9 days ago I had surgery and I am wondering if this is normal recovery. I had a face and neck lift, brow lift, rhinoplasty, dermabrasion to upper lip, fat transfers to NL folds. Yesterday I was feeling better so I had a shower and washed my hair cleaned up my room, and bathroom, went out for dinner with some friends for 3 hours. Later I felt like I was run over by a truck. I felt nauseated, in pain, stiff and just run down. How long should recovery take? Thanks for your answers Terrie
I had a facelift and necklift a week ago and my face is really swollen. My friend told me that when she had the same procedure last year, her doctor prescribed Medrol and that it made a huge difference in swelling. I am just worried the swelling might stretch the skin too much and have a negative influence on the final outcome. When I asked my doctor, he said steroids can have serious side effects. What is your opinion?
I now have severe sleep apnea. It was so distressing, I bought a used cpap machine, which has allowed me to sleep. My question is whether this is caused by swelling and muscle tightening, and whether it will go away.
I have had a terrible headache ever since my facelift surgery 6 days ago. The pain is across my forehead and on the right temple. The temple I understand because I'd had a facelift 20 years ago and there was quite a bit of scar tissue but the pain across my forehead is constant. My Doctor said he's not sure what's causing it perhaps I should have an MRI or cat scan but I've never been bothered by headaches before. All in all I feel terrible and don't know what to do next.
I am 9 days post op from a lower facelift and neck lift. 50 yrs old. I have swelling still on face and jawline and on right side along jawline I can feel a ridge. Will the compress help it at this point? Thank you
I am one week post op and the ace bandage hurts my neck and makes creases in my neck, even when I try and loosen it. I know I have to wear it but is there a more comfortable way? My face was numb before, and feeling is starting to come back slowly, so maybe Thats why it didn't bother me as much earlier in the week
Today is one week post lower facelift/neck lift. Had my stitches and staples out yesterday. PS said everythjng looks really good. I'm having pinching pain behind right ear after the removal of stitches. Left ear feels fine. The pinching is worse when I try to lay back. I go back in 6 days. I did call and was told this is very normal. I am very pleased with my results otherwise.
I had fat dissolving injections on my lower face 5 days ago. However swelling doesnt seem to be improving. I was told by doctor that swelling will subside around 3-4 days. It still feels hard and tight! Should I be worried?
