Had facelift 5 weeks ago in another country. Scars I front of and behind ears. Told no sutures to be removed. Noticed very painful behind one ear in the area top of ear where my glasses touch. Close inspection shows an inflammed hole with a wire type of suture sticking out quite sharp and possibly another blue suture same hole. Cannot go back to surgeon as too far away. I think it might be a permanent deep suture and if this is the case will it be there forever irritating my skin? Other side is ok.
mini face lift/ e 5 weeks ago by a PS I have seen his work is normally very good, How ever I think my ears are a mess, I have still got scabs that are not healing at the back , I was on antibiotic cream 4th week , to put on Hydrocortisone 5th week, i am due back to PS soon ,I think this is going to scar badly 1 week after op a scab come in front of ear, The PS said this will fall off eventually and said scar be ok he said 2 weeks ago but has got worse since, have i got pixie ears? and is scar bad?
I am a 68-year old man who had his first facelift five weeks ago. On my pre-op, the doctor drew a picture showing how the scar would follow the rear junction of my ear about 3/4 of the way up, and then cross the shortest possible distance into my hairline. Photos show what was actually done. Behind the left ear the low incision ends in bunched skin that forms two very noticeable hard lumps. (My wife's facelift sixteen years ago was done with high incisions.) WHY did my doctor do this????
I realize its only five weeks, but now that the swellings gone down, I see quite a bit of puckering around the scar under my chin, And weird swelling or protruding platysmal bands. bands tightened during the surgery. No lipo under chin, but he said he manually removed some fat. I am healthy 58 y.o. & I dont smoke. I healed very nicely last year after a breast reduction. I dont want to wait a yr. for revision. It is feasible to revise 8-9 months post op? Will be seeing my dr, about this
i have just had face lift and necklift 3 weeks 5 days ago . i am home from surgery abroad and my jawline looks amazing but hae quite a large lump at the side of my right neck.does not eem to be going down any and. have noticed little lumps appearing under chin aswell. is this normal healing process i do know swelling can take months?
i am now 5 weeks after my operation and have had a 2nd opinion from my doctor regarding lump on side of neck ,, he says its a hematoma, and will go away by itself. the first doctor i seen says it was (just the healing process) but will gradually go away by itself .. is this possible ?? the lump is not hot now but a little uncomfortable ,,, my jawline has really improved with the lift . i had operation done in prague so cant go and see my surgeon although have emailed and they say i look fine xx
The scaring behind my ears have horrified me. The skin is all bunched up and my right ear is now higher and sits out more than originally. I have seen much smoother jobs online. I also cannot talk properly because of the tightening of the neck which also has left dimple affects both sides of neck. Will this bunching flatten completely? If I need surgery to fix this when would it be suitable to undergo? Have I expected too much this early?
Its been a month since had my face neck Nd eyes done I am still swollen around my lower eyes and slightly bruised under the right eye also swollen along the contour of my face. Can I use ice to bring down the swelling around my eyes? How long till the swelling go down ?
