I would appreciate any advice from surgeons to help me with concerns with my upper eyelids. I have had multiple post op consults with my surgeon, but would just really love to hear what other surgeons say. What upsets me most is the layer of skin tissue that has developed on the scar on my inner eyelid. Please help. thanks so much
I just had a quadruple blepharoplasty...mainly skin no fat on Monday and my stitches will be removed next Tuesday. My only complaint is that both of my OUTER CORNER EYEBALLS are very red and super sore...pain/pressure. Everything looks fine on the suture lines (no infection) I also had to D/C opthamalic ointment because I was allergic. I now just use eye drops to lubricate... My primary question? How much pressure is normal??? Redness?? Any other options to help soothe the pressure I DO ICE. Thank you!
I've had this asymmetry for yrs; recently feels worse. Often catch myself raising brows to compensate & have headaches/sore forehead. When I pull up eyelids, upper peripheral vision improves, even somewhat on less squinty left eye. Might both benefit from intervention? I hear insurance is strict. Based on photo, any chance it might be covered? Realize tests would be req'd to confirm but just want idea if it might be medical/functional (I.e., require PCP referral even just for the consultation)
Iv had upper & lower eye lid surgery abroad and 10 days after my right eye is red sore and a little puss, my nurse advised cool boiled water but I feel that's not enough. She won't take the stitches out until it's healed , please help. Can I use savlon ointment?
Press your index finger along base of lashes and pull lower lid straight up as far as you can go. This exercise is to be performed one eye at a time, five times each eye and held for 30 seconds, every hour for 10 hours every day. This has been recommended 5 weeks after surgery, yet skin is very red and sore.
I have thickening of both scars , right eye is very sore with red bumps at the length on whole scar. Left eye red sore bump in the corner. 3 weeks ago when I noticed this problem my doctor asked me to squeeze bumps for any stuff which is accumulated there and he asked me to go to my GP, GP referred me to optomology doctor who prescribed oral and topical antibiotic with steroids, so far no improvement , I have no more trust in my plastic surgeon! What should I do now?
Do i need to be worried about waking up in the night with really wet eyes and sore in the morning, like some one has been poking eye ball ? Is this normal 3 months after an upper blepharoplasty? Are my eyes opening when i sleep and should i be worried by this? Thanks in advance :-)
How Long will it take for the skin on upper lids to return to normal color? Im 3 months post op. Is usually very red and sore looking, also purple looking sometimes. There is no pain. Can I do anything to help speed along the return of normal skin color?
My eyes are sore 3 weeks after surgery. The scars are fading well and the whites of my eyes appear to have returned to normal but my eyes feel tight and irritated and it feels uncomfortable to open my eyes wide. Also I can still see some protrusion under my eyes; is this just swelling? Also my top eye lashes have started dropping out. Is all this normal 3 weeks post op?
