I acquired Ptosis in my left eye after an upper blepharoplasty. That surgeon hypothesized that blepharoplasty 5years prior damaged levator muscle but scar tissue held it in place following years until her blepharoplasty. The previous blepharoplasty excised only minimal amount of skin, no contact with levator muscle. No visual or sensorial indication of ptosis ever before 2nd blepharoplasty. Could ptosis or levator muscle injury occur previously without indication until after 2nd blepharoplasty?
I am now almost 6 weeks out from upper and lower Blepharoplasty. Scar tissue has formed under my lower right eyelid and I have been doing the massages for 2 weeks. My Dr. has given me the option of injecting steroids to dissolve this unsightly bulge. Has anyone had this done and what were your results?
I had an upper blepharoplasty eleven months ago. No complications, normal healing. The only thing that bothers me is that I still have slightly thickened bumps on the outer corners of my eyelids at the ends of the incisions. Will this eventually disappear, or is further surgery required to remove that scar tissue?
I had a blepharoplasty in December and the doctor made 2 incisions. One on the eyelid and the other one just below my eyebrow. This second incision has a strange bump at the end, which makes me look like a strange creature, not human. I have been to my doctor who minimizes this and says that he could cut me open to look what it is. But I don't want another surgery if it's not needed. I have been to another doctor who says it's simply scar tissue and I have to wait.
Hi - Good day. I am so worried and embarrassed of my lower eyelids after having surgery, hoping will build my confidence. My scars are visible and seem the tissue under has rise. What can I do to resolve??
In August, I got stye on the upper left eye. I went to doctor. Few days later my lower eyelid developed a bump but didn't hurt, doctor said it is chalazion, it will take time to heal. In few days that bump in the lower eyelid was painful. Doctor gave me antibiotics andT oradex ointment. Few days later it formed like a pus and broke, I tried to take out the blood and liquid inside. As time went by the bump got smaller but still leaving me like a scar tissue or something else that I should be concerned?
Had 3 chalazion surgeries in 3 months. Went to ophalmologist again yesterday. Said there is no chalazion or infection, only scar tissue. Is there any further action i need to take other than good eye hygiene? Sick of this red spot on my eye. It hurts a little bit.
I had surgery to remove the bags under eyes. One of the eyes still has some scar tissue. and a small bag. The surgery was done 11 months ago. The surgeon recently injected a steroid in to the area. Is there something else I can do to reduce the bag/bump? I m a male so make up is not an option.
I have a chalazion that I've had for 8 months and another more recent chalazion removed 3 weeks ago. The swelling has dissipated but there is scar tissue on my upper eyelid from the older chalazion. It's not that noticeable but the left side of my eyelid is thicker. It's also uncomfortable and I can definitely feel it. I have dark skin is a kenlog injection still a possibility? Will tobradex drops help with the inflammation? I really want to move on from this.
How well do scars on upper eyelids heal. I also dislike the idea that scar tissue grows inside (fibrosis) so how well does the scar inside the eyelid tissue layers heal, considering blood flow is good inside the eyelid. Also, I heard sometimes sutures are used in Asian eyelid surgery; are they permanent inside the eyelid? Doesn't that cause a body reaction?
