61 y-o male. Had upper and lower bleph nearly two years ago to correct fairly severe eye bags. Since the surgery, the area under my eyes has progressively hollowed, particularly on the right where there is a slight divot. Before I contact the surgeon, I would like to get a professional assessment of the work done. It seems to me that he overcorrected. Wondering if I'm being realistic about expectations and what remedies might be available. Thanks in advance.
I had a mullerectomy for a very mild proptosis, I needed maybe 1mm of correction. Now I am at 10 days post surgery and all swelling has subsided, however my eyelid has completely dropped. It looks like an overcorrection, and I now look worse than I ever did with Graves. I realize now I should never have gotten this surgery, but can't change the past. Aside from speaking to the occuplastic surgeon can you advise on what the next steps should be?
I have congenital Ptosis of the right eye corrected unsuccessfully 3 times. The last time the surgeon tightened the left eye levator because he was afraid of herings law which did not happen and left my left eye over corrected. Years later and my right eye has a significant blink delay compared to the left eye. I dont want to reoperate on the right because it does not heal well. Would operating on the left to remove those sutures help? I am a 32 year old female.
I had double eyelid surgery eight months ago to address fairly severe eyebags. It seems to me that, particularly in the right eye, the doctor may have removed too much fat as there is a slight scooped appearance. Also, the uppers seem a bit asymmetrical as there is a bit of a peak on the right side. Would like some expert advice as to whether I should ask him to address these issues or if this is a normal, expected result. Thanks.
I would like to correct my eyelids, but I am having trouble finding a treatment. I was told that blepharoplasty may overcorrect the problem, but I have been told that I am not a candidate for several non-surgical procedures because they would not resolve the fat and puffiness bothering me. What are the opinions here? Is blepharoplasty my only option? Or is there another issue to correct that I'm not aware of and can bring up to a surgeon? Thank you for your help!
I had double eyelids, but left was hooded, so I had eyelid & ptosis surgery 2.5 weeks ago. Day 1, felt pull in outer corner of RIGHT eye & noticed peak at corner. Now, crease barely visible when eyes r open. Prior, I had big visible crease. I didnt want surgery on R eye, but Dr said I had to do both eyes. After, R eye crease is smaller. I look like I'm in shock. I feel he overcorrected. Dr says it's due to Herrings Law. Crease will be visible & pull go away once swelling goes down on L eye.
At about 1.5 years post eye surgery my eyes just looked startling. Not like my eyes at all, very hollow, bony and old. So, I guess up until that time, I had just enough swelling that my eyes looked pretty good. Now they look horrible. It seems whenever I work out and sweat a lot, the worse they look. So, I'm thinking if I lose weight or as time goes on, the loss of too much fat around my eyes is only going to get worse. Am I correct?
I had congenital ptosis surgery 2 months ago. Overcorrection settles down time by time. But! Lagophthalmos is the biggest problem. Maybe the reason is overcorrection that I still have? Will the eyelid fully close in 3-4 months? Or will it stay like that? What are the general result in these cases? Is it possible to have lagophthalmos even for several months post-op, then being healed? Or should I wait for another operation (if there's any way to correct it) ? Thank you in advance.
Hi, At about 2.5 years eye surgery ( acculift) after that i havent blepharoplasty my eyes just looked horrible very hollow. What can I do? It is possible to put it fat back for lower eyelids? Which procedure is better pearl fat grafting , microfat transfer, structural fat grafting? Has anyone have experience?
The dr, took too much fat around the eyes. He even changed the shape of the eye. Is there fat that can be put back into the surrounding eye, it was removed very close to the eye ball and all over the eye area making me look twice as old as I am. It is very depressing. He tried to inject my own fat around the eye but it looked weird, like a tunnel under the eye and it went away quickly. I need help I feel like a freak.
