Hi, I had upper eyelid surgery 3 weeks ago. My doctor told me to massage the scars twice a day with Tobradex ointment or vitamin E as he said that I had some irregularity in the stitches on one eyelid that should eventually flatten out. Which is the best stuff to massage the scars with? Can I use kelo-cote to massage the scars instead of vitamin E or Tobradex? Thanks.
I had a lower bleph done 8/25 and i noticed my lower eyelid is lower than it was before. I saw my doctor last week and he gave me steroid injections at the corner scar areas and told me to massage the lower lid like crazy. Will this work to get my almond shape back or am i doomed and need a retraction surgery??!! ughhhh
I am 5 week post blethroplasty surgery. My left eye was more swollen. When obvious swelling went, Im left with a double fold at the crease and a not as neat looking scar as the other side. Wk 3 started massage on area which does feel like its helping bumps, but its not improving how the fold looks. I have a follow up appointment in 2 week but would really appreciate some feedback just now on if this type of fold is normal at this stage and should resolve, or if It is likely to stay like this?
Lower eye blepharoplasty 3 weeks ago. Concerned about retraction, swelling & puckering. Should I take an oral antihistamine or using steroid/antihistamine type drops to help with swelling. Surgeon said he isn't worried & to continue with after care protocol of cold compresses 2 x day, Retaline individual dry eye relief drops, Systane night time eye lubricant & ointment on incisions. Next follow up in 3 weeks.
It has been 12 days since my lower blepharoplasty. I'm 33 years old. After my stitches were removed we (PS and I) noticed a lump (ball) under my left eye in the area where the bag was removed. Will this go away with time? Will I need another surgery? And lastly, I heard a mix about massaging it...Will it help or hurt?
