3 months after upper blepharoplasty, scars are irritated and red, occasionally when squint - hurts a little. recently started itching..Problem is the my surgeon is in the States and I am back in the UK now. Need to find a solid advice as to how to make scars start fading and becoming more smooth, less textured. Please advise. Thank you.
I had a lower blepharoplasty with fat repositioning 3 weeks ago. After the stitches were removed the black scab line under my eye remained and hasn't improved much since. When can I expect this to disappear and is there anything I can do to make it go away faster It's quite noticeable
Hi, I had upper eyelid surgery 3 weeks ago. My doctor told me to massage the scars twice a day with Tobradex ointment or vitamin E as he said that I had some irregularity in the stitches on one eyelid that should eventually flatten out. Which is the best stuff to massage the scars with? Can I use kelo-cote to massage the scars instead of vitamin E or Tobradex? Thanks.
I had a lower blepharoplasty on November 28, 2016. Are these scars normal? I can't figure out why I have these scars extending out from the edge of my eyelids when I only had a lower done, not an upper. The scars are very noticeable and make me quite self conscious. From my research, I though the scars would only be right under the eyelid and would be minimal. Mine seem severe. Is there anything I can do?
I am a 41 year old latin female and I had lower blepharoplasty surgery three weeks ago. The doctor did get rid of the bags under my eyes but now I have these unsightly scars to look at. Aside from the scars, I am still having trouble shutting my eyes completely. In my follow up appointment yesterday, my doctor said that it looks like my scars are hyper pigmenting and he prescribed an 8% hydroquinone bleaching cream to put on twice daily. Is there anything else I can do to help the scars fade?
55 lower eye lid Blepharoplasty surgery 20 days ago. Surgeon is highly qualified. Healing slow w swelling and bruising. Seems liked it was improving until yesterday when I developed new swelling on both sides (closer to cheek than suture line) and some stabbing pains which come and go on one side. Doctor away, nurse said internal dissoluble sutures can be the cause. Does it sound like normal healing or a brewing complication? Will the scar fade in time, the other side has much smaller scar.
I am three weeks out from surgery, and it looked great last week. Now, my left eye looks wider than the right eye. My doctor said this was due to scarring and to massage the left lower lid, but it's hard to massage as the left lower lid is stiff. I keep poking my eye because the bottom lid is hard to move. Has anyone else has had this problem after lower lid blepharoplasty? How long before the eye goes back to normal? Or is this permanent?! Any tips or reassurance that this can be resolved?
I had a very successful blepharoplasty on my lower lids plus a canthopexy. My eyes still look tilted upwards but seem to relax daily and I'm loving results so far. My problem is that on my left side there is a hard lump where the suture is (right from the beginning) that seems to protrude through my skin. right side is fine. My surgeon is excellent but he is overseas, and he has not seemed concerned. But I am and wonder what I can do locally to treat this.
I had an upper bleph three weeks ago (22 days out). I experienced significant swelling in my tear duct area (especially on the right side) My right eye now appears to have webbing on the inner corner. I was given antibiotic drops but havent seen any improvement in two weeks.I also appear to have webbing forming in both eyes but more so on the right (which also looks smaller). Is it possible my plastic surgeon injured my tear duct by cutting too far in? Will I need an eventual revision?
