The area of the eyelid is quite swollen but what worries me it's a subconjunctival hemorrhage that keeps growing wider, the constant secretion of yellow eye boogers and blurry vision from the same eye, (I can barely see from distance now). Are these symptoms consired normal or to be expected after such procedure? The reason for me to be concerned is the lack of assurance and care from the ophthalmologist who performed my procedure and the fact that she was chosen by my insurance
3 days post-op. Following doctor's orders with ice 20 minutes very hour. Just finished the ice. Bruising around eyes was to be expected. However, last night a large purple bruise appeared on the face by the jaw and has spread under chin partially down the neck. The cheek/jaw area is also swollen. What is going on? Surgeon is out of town for a week.
I am very worried, this morning I just checked, the pus has all dried up but there is still minor pain where the pus came out from. Does this mean my infection has stopped? I am taking antibiotics
I received surgery to my left eye to correct my congenital ptosis on 5/7/17. Overall it is healing well three days later -- still swollen and bruised, but improving every day. As the sutures are on the inside of my eyelid and there is no external stitches/scarring, how long will it be before I can wear makeup, including mascara? I have seen other answers on this site advocating waiting two weeks following surgery, but those have all been for cases where the outer eyelid had sutures or incisions.
I received a lower blepharoplasty 3 days ago. The first few days that was very minimal swelling and bruising. Yesterday my eyes were almost completely swollen shut. My incisions are bright red and hurt very bad. I have been taking all medication as prescribed and doing cold compresses all throughout the day. I am due to be married May 1st and my doctor told me I had plenty of time to heal before then. I am worried I have an infection and or something is wrong. Help please !
I had upper eyelid surgery 3 days ago. I haven't experienced a ton of swelling or bruising, but I am swollen right around my stitches to the point that I can hardly see them. They are also tingling a little. Is this ok? I am concerned.
I had a lower transconjuctival blepharoplasty with fat repositioning along with a primary rhinoplasty three days ago. I expected the swelling that has come since, but was NOT expecting the location of the swelling - in the lowest part of my face. It's like my face is filled with fluid that settled downwards giving me insane low-set chipmunk cheeks. Is there a problem here? My doc seemed unconcerned but of course I'm freaking out. Is this swelling from the bleph or the rhino?
Hello; I had my upper eyelids done Wednesday (8/8/14) morning. I'm seeing daily improvement with swelling & bruising. I used ice packs almost 24/7 for first 48 hours & on & off since then. At what point should I switch to warm compresses, or do I even need to continue ice and/or warm compresses? Also using Arnicare Gel on bruises and Refresh Lacri-Lube on stitches. Thanks Here's my photos from today, Saturday 8/9/14.
I recently had double eyelid surgery with ptosis correction for my left eye 3 days ago. My eyelids are still swollen but I feel I am starting to see results. However, My left eye still looks heavier than my right eye. Does this mean the ptosis surgery wasn't successful or is it still too early to tell?
