One week after injection ( with no other significant complications) I noticed a very transient itching all over my body- almost like a contact dermatitis. The next morning my eye was swollen shut. After some Benadryl my eye had cleared up but the rash continues. Another example- tonight, 10 days post injection and drying my ear with a q-tip turned it bright red and caused swelling that lasted about 15 min.
I've had Botox twice in my life injected between my eyebrows and just above each eyebrow. 1st time I had it I had slight swelling/bruising that settled within a few days which I assumed was normal. The last time I developed huge swollen hard lumps at each injection site. My face swelled so much I looked unrecognisable. My injector said I had an allergic reaction. He prescribed me with prednisone, my face went back to normal within a week. Can I be tested to see if I would react badly to Dysport?
I have scheduled a dysport injection tomorrow but just read that it contains cow's milk protein. The problem is that I recently discovered that I break out a lot from having anything with lactose in it. My GP wants me to do an allergy test but I haven't had time. Should I be worried about the injection tomorrow?
I had 30units of dysport in between my brows. 1month later had 60unit added my forehead n brows. A week later the pa recommend restylane. Had 1/2 of syringe. Had a allergic reaction three days later still have swollen n.puffy eyelids, trouble swallowing. My dr put me on prednisone for a week. How long typically will these symptoms last? Would u recommend me getting dysport again since my attack came after the resytlane? Thank u
People with allergies to cow milk should avoid Botox and Dysport. Assuming the same is true for Xeomin. What is the link? Are there currently any alternatives that someone with milk allergies could consider?
Hello, I had Dysport injections that were performed by my licensed dermatologist. He had been using Botox in his practice for years and had just started using Dysport. I had Botox previously with no complications. After Dysport injections, hour later I had shortness of breath, dry mouth, elevated heart rate (136). My family doctor had me go to ER where they treated me for a severe allergic reaction. I am now back home, feel very sick and worried about long term damage this could cause.
I received my second dose of Dysport in December and 3 weeks later got a terrible cough and wheeze. It's 3 1/2 months later and the symptoms persist. I've had chest x-rays, CAT scan and allergy scratch tests but everything has come back normal. A friend asked me if I had gotten Botox because she had the same symptoms for 4 months after her treatment. Could this be the case with me?
I had an injection of dysport on Dec. 1. I have had hives. I have taken benedryl and zyrtec. When I try to stop, the hives come back. Has anyone had this happen to them? How long did the hives last. Also, I have arthymia and my heart beats quicker. When I take the benedryl and zyrtec, my blood pressure goes up. I am 69 years old. I have had botox and have had no reaction.
