A few years back, I had a subcision performed at Cosmetic Laser and Dermatology; unfortunately, it left me scarred as a result. I have since had multiple laser treatments performed by Dr. Wu to try and correct the damage he caused during the procedure, but sadly, there is still noticeable scarring on my right cheek. The only thing I haven't tried is dermabrasion, which may smooth out the edges of the scars and generally smooth out the area. Any advice is greatly appreciated; thank you.
Hello I have a very small but ugly scar on my lumbar region (it is flat, I have treated with both silicone and steroid tapes) however it was in high tension area and the scar texture looks bad it is irregular . You can clearly see that n incision was made there and it's very jagged looking (though not hypertrophic) I am interested in dermabrasion to smooth it out and blend it more.. I understand de pigmented areas of scar will remain depigmented but I'm hoping to blend it in more.
So far, I have had 2 treatments of CO2 Laser done on my hands for crepey skin. However, there is only a very slight improvement. I would like to know how to improve my hands with another type of treatment. Is an ablative dermabrasion (the kind that scabs) ok to do on the hands. I keep getting that an ablative procedure on the hands is a problem. (If I were to get fat injections first, would that make it safer?) I would like to know your opinion. Thank you!!
Hello I have horrendously aged over the last few years it's a combination of sun damage I'm sure with prior unhealthy lifestyle habits and my skin looks very bad, I am wondering is my skin too dark to do a full face dermabrasion?if so do you have any other recommendations for skin which is looking prematurely old tired with some fine lines?
I have really large areas of hyperpigmentation and deep scars on my cheeks. I had 3 treatments (about $2,000 wasted) of Morpheus8 and I dont think it did anything (and possibly made my scars and discoloration worse). Would dermabrasion be the best option?
Hello, I had a lip lift October 2020 and was left with a visible scar under my nostrils. Would dermabrasion help to get rid of the scar or could it make it worse? I did have a consultation for a lip lift scar revision and was told that I am not a candidate for that procedure. Dermabrasion was recommended. I have not been able to find before and after photos for this particular area and am hesitant because of the unknown outcome. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Ive noticed over the past year that more of these bumps are appearing on my face and they are covering an inch of my face on both sides They dont itch or hurt and Im not sure what they are but Im worried incase they spread. Is there anything that can help with this?
I am considering scar revision and the plastic surgeon advised me to do lip Dermabrasion. The scar is white in color and has healed with a raised bump. Is Dermabrasion the best option for me?
Photos below: One photo is how my skin looks. The second photo is photoshopped how I want my skin to look. My skin is wrinkly, loose, dull, rough, jagged, uneven, and I have tons of small acne scars that look like chicken pox scars. Fraxel laser made my face worse because my skin is so thin. Which treatment is best to improve my skin texture? Dermabrasion, micro-needling, chemical peel, TCA peel? I really can't afford tightening or facelift. And Dermal fillers aren't right for me. Advice?
