My implant doesn't match my other teeth(I don't complain on color) size and shape is my concern, when I smile, I feel with my lips only that one tooth in my mouth because it's very bulky and it seats higher in my gums. My dentist sad that she couldn't do any better because of my bone size and some other excuses, kinda my smile arch is not proper and tooth next to my implant turned different angle, but it's ok, because when I smile my gums are not exposed.
I got a sinus lift and an implant placement surgery about a week ago. The swelling of my cheek subsided, but my smile is now crooked. The upper lip on the side of the surgery stays lower than the other side when I smile. I am not experiencing any numbness or tingling, but I do almost feel like the sutures where placed to low and they seem to be pulling the side of my lip down.
The dentist installed an implants however the tooth is higher and larger then the other front tooth. The left front tooth has a crown as half of it broke off. Shouldn't the dentist have fixed the gum prior to the implant (bone grafting?) and now is it too late to fix? Also the shape is off and both teeth are discolored. Any advice will be gratefully appreciated. I spent lots of money to not be satisfied with my smile. I just don't know how to go about it- its been a few months now since the fix.
I had dental implant surgery 13 years ago, the two teeth on either side of the front teeth never grew in, my implants were and had been a sucess up until a few years ago. My crowns are significantly shorter than they were originally. I did all the wrong things. Smoking(quit), not seeing the dentist since I lost insurance, poor dental hygiene for awhile due to severe depression(better). Why have my crowns sinking into the top of my mouth? How often are crowns on implants supposed to be changed?
I want to keep 2 of my own teeth on each side to stabilize my partial but the gum line where my own teeth are and the front where the partial will be are extremely uneven. Is there any way to make the partial fit right?
