I recently had my dental implant placed and the color doesnt match my teeth. Its near the front and it is very obvious. I am scheduled to get two other implant crowns placed in December and my dentist has suggested getting crowns on my front teeth to help with color matching. I have spent over $15k in my mouth because Ive been seeing a periodontist that has performed the implant surgery but doesnt specialize in actual crown placement, so Im nervous about the new crowns. Using same dentist.
I have a pair of dental implants in which the underlying metal posts are dark grey. My dentists indicated that zirconia crowns would ensure that the posts did not show through. I had the final procedure done last week and, unfortunately, they do. Is there any way to lighten the color of the posts before situating the new crown to negate this discoloration from showing through? If not, is there a crown material that will effectively mask a dark grey/black metal post?
I had all my top teeth pulled and implants and a temp put in on the same day. I have an appointment in a few days for xrays and impressions. I had to pay 25,000.00 up front, which was a huge amount from my retirement fund. I am 69 years old. Any questions I should ask him would be helpful. It has been 2 months now and all the teeth are lose. Should I be concerned? He filed them down some. He hates the look and color, as do I. He said I am healing fast so I only have to wait 2 months for the permanent teeth.

I so the color and the shape difference in the same day that I got my implant put in, and the doctor assure me there is no other way and that the color is perfect and the shape is the best one they could do ... I don't have a picture before the implant but I never had a gap in between my front teeth, and now it does bother me when I talk... But still the color bothers me the most,... It's been a long ride and expensive and it's nothing that I was told ill get perfect tooth that will blend in
