I recently had a crown put on my two front bottom teeth that were badly chipped after an accident. My teeth were very crooked to begin with and my dentist ended up using one crown to cover both to make them look straight. However the crown is irritating my tongue since i can feel a very sharp edge on the bottom. I also feel as though my bite is too high. My question is, can this be fixed and is it common practice to crown two teeth with one crown when they are misaligned?
I had a CEREC crown made and cemented yesterday. It feels fat on the inside, like a bubble, and it is rubbing my tongue when I talk. I have had many crowns, and none of them have ever felt like this. This feels more like a temporary crown or a piece of gum stuck on my tooth. Is is possible for the dentist to shave down the portion of the tooth facing the inside of my mouth?
On June 21st I had a temporary crown put in. During the procedure I had to had more pain medication because I could feel the drill. What is happening? Ive tried Aleve, Tylenol and OxyCodone. Nothing is stopping the pain. Its in the same place. Shooting. Sharp. When I swallow I get the shooting pain up the side of my head and in my ear and in my throat.
I went to an Endodontic fora rootcanal and he did it through temporary crown and now the crown is rough on the inside and is irritating my tongue. He smooth it but said it's thin and if he does anymore then I will back to the dentist for a new temporary. I was in pain for three weeks from a infection in that tooth and the Endodontic dentist did a root canal and it finally feels better so the last thing I want is to take it off for a new temporary. Anything I can do to make it smoother? Wax?
For quite a while I have been sometimes biting my tongue and/or lip/cheek on the left side when I eat. Never on the right. I have 3 molar crowns on the left side & they appear to me to be shorter than what my original teeth were. Can upper molar caps that are changed in size of the original teeth be the cause of this? I didn't occur to me until I had one of the 3 molars pulled & a temporary crown put on. I then started biting my cheek so it made me wonder. Sorry no pics of old crowns
I had crowns put on my incisors (8 and 9). I can feel the back of the crowns with my tongue when it hits the roof of my mouth, which is constantly. Even when I speak certain words my tongue rubs against it. My dentist shaved them down a bit when he put the crowns in, but said he did not want to shave them down anymore. He said my real incisors underneath are shaved down too much and he is fearful they crowns will come off easily. Does this sound right? Any recommendations? Thanks!
