I hate how my teeth look. To me, theyre like marshmallows. Theyre long and dont flatter my face. Im supposed to be ecstatic about them but I barely want to look at them. I consulted with my dentist and she told me itd be full price to do it over again, and any adjustments like thinning or shortening could fracture the crown. Do I try to find another cosmetic dentist thatll redo them at a reasonable price? I cant imagine keeping these for the full 10 to 15 years.
I foolishly got crowns on my two front teeth about 10 years ago. I immediately regretted it. I really have perfect teeth but they very transparent. I noticed cracks in them and showed the dentist. He suggested crowns. I feel like they are bulky and stand out compared to my other teeth. Is there anything I can do to replace the crowns or modify them to blend in with my other teeth ?
Im not very happy with my new dental crowns. They look too bulky and thick. Are my concerns valid? I am being told that the proportions are correct. What more can I say to help them understand my concerns?
Just got two front crowns replaced and my gums are not reacting well, they're very swollen. The cosmetic dentist sent me to a Periodontist who said I need crown lengthening but I think from the xrays it looks like the crowns are poorly shaped and do not fit my teeth well. Aren't they supposed to follow the tooth contour and not stick out like that?? This was done by a highly-respected cosmetic dentist with high fees who does not accept insurance so I expected better quality... Can I ask him to re-do them?
I've just had a new crown put in over the remnants of my upper left one incisor. This problem is that the crown seems very thick (front to back), and rather than my lower incisors sitting behind it, they make contact with it, about half to two third up the length of the crown. Because of this, my upper and lower sets of teeth won't meet. I've only had the crown for less than a week. Should I give it more time to sort itself out, or go back to my dentist? Perhaops get a second opinion?
so they will match in color but my oral rehabilitation doctor said no and that he will whiten my teeth, but I know the result won't be great because their color will change back, and because my teeth and the porcelain are different materials so light breaks differently on them so they won't look the same. I thought about veneer but because of it's difference in thickness from the crowns the light breaks differently So they won't look the same. What can I do? I'm So depressed because of my teeth
