Need a professional opinion. I think these new crowns look awful. Gray and too short. I sound like I have a lisp when I speak now. Do dentists usually fix this at no additional cost? I had 6-11 all redone.
I had a crown placed recently for cosmetic reasons, as well as for strength of the tooth. the temporary wasnt the best color but it was the right shape and size.. I now have the permanent crown but I didnt realize while I was at the dentist that it is so bulky. Its also too long. Its giving me a lisp and my bottom teeth hit it when I chew. My natural and temp tooth did not protrude. I approved it, but it was hard to see while there.
My crowns are feeling all of the above for my smile. I had an awful experience with a dentist who placed them on, did no trial, & got upset when I said they didn't look right on me. He said let me place the tops in and you'll see it better. They feel uncomfortable, when I talk I have a lisp, the teeth feel long in back, & implant is causing odd cold sensations in lips. My folks sacrificed everything. Their home, for me and now I've wasted their money.
Recently I had 4 crowns and 2 veneers on my upper front teeth. Ever since my first set of temps my speech has been off. Th sounds are impossible without stragegic pausing and odd mouth movements. S sounds are difficult at times too. I am not happy with how my teeth have turned out. They seem to stick out way more than before. Also, some have a few weird angles and they seem shorter than my natural teeth. I need a new dentist, so I can smile again :(
I got my permanent crowns in on Friday prior to that I had temporaries on which felt fine and very close to my real teeth. But my permanent ones are so big & long & protruding out. I dont know what is causing the lisp, the largeness or them sticking out. I got them shaved down a little on Monday hoping that'll help but they still look out & I have a lisp still. The doctor told me to come back in 3 days if I still dont like them. Idk what to do.
Feel like I have buck teeth , feel like I have to force my top lip over teeth and the hitting of my bottom lip is a constant reminder that I something wrong , it's only been one day but they said I will get used to it, feel like I won't. When I close my mouth it's pushing my bottom lip out is this normal? I had a big gap in front two teeth, dentist said that's why it feels different, I think they messed up.
I developed an issue with my speech about a week after getting 4 top front crowns - initially I had no issues whatsoever and spoke normally. However now when I say any words that contain the letter 's' I can hear a hiss / whistle. Also with the letter 't'. I feel that my crowns are a littke too long - could this be causing this issue? Why has this happened now and not immediately after having the crowns fitted? I'm worried I may need new crowns fitted - please help :(
