I am looking to get a permanent crown that does not fit well removed using a laser. I've had the tooth worked on twice already so looking for the least invasive way. Since I don't need a root canal, I'm concerned about possible damage to the tooth or pulp. Is this procedure used and successful on patients not needing a root canal? Are there specific settings that should be used?
He used a laser on gums and put temporary crown on. when novocaine wore off -- had pain in tooth and gums. after almost a week went back to dentist -- said rinse with 1/2 peroxide and 1/2 water. 3 days later called emergency number. sent me to periodontist -- took x-rays and examined talked about doing implant instead. put me on antibiotic -- told me to come back in 2 weeks and we'd discuss what should be done.
Lateral incisor is slightly pushed back and has excess gum on the top corner. I feel it ruins my smile. I wanted to have the little piece of gum removed by laser- but the issue is that behind that piece of gum is not a tooth- just more gum. The tooth has a natural chip in the top corner which the gum grew into. I was told I need to fill that space with something after I laser out the gum. In the pics you can see I have the same issue w/ both lateral incisors, but its prominent on the left side
3 Days after two back teeth crowns fitted, the one which has had root canal and laser on it, a bubble has started above it in gum. NO great pain but worried that it may be infection. Can it be something else? NO pain of problems over the three days.
Had bad crowns removed that were giving me gingivitis, prothodontist, asked to laser my gums (#6 7 8 teeth) temps on, 2 wks later, bleeding, inflammed, receding gums, severe pain, now he says, i have periodontist disease causing receding gums. did the lasering of gums do that to me? they hadnt receded before the laser.he replaced the temps. 3 days later, now gums above crowns
hi i got 2crown and 2 veneers but not satisfied with colour and shape . When I told doctor , he refused to make any change and for the gum inflamation he told that he will put some composite so as to hide some redness. I want to confirm that can I get composite bonding on front two teeth( one of which is crown and other is veneer) so that they match in colour? I want to know whether composite bonding be done on crowns and veneers or not? Please provide a solution other than replacing them
Hi Doctor, I had an old root canal infected and recently had 90% of the bacteria removed. The remaining 10% will be removed next week. I was told I need a crown lengthening. If this were your tooth, would you choose laser or conventional crown lengthening? What are the pros and cons of each? Thank you!
Recently, I had crown lengthening using conventional means (requiring sutures and packing), done by a periodontist. I'm healing well, but it was a huge pain. Now, I'm considering seeing a new dentist who does his own crown lengthening using lasers. Sounds great, and would save me thousands...but I'm finding it difficult to research conventional vs. laser. Can anyone speak to the pros and cons of each? Is laser CL practical and effective?
