Dear doctors , Hi, I hade time ago a 4 front tooth zircunium crown, when it was with temporiral glue its lookd perfect, afteter the finel glue its turn to gray backround !! What it could be the reason? Thank you very much
Need a professional opinion. I think these new crowns look awful. Gray and too short. I sound like I have a lisp when I speak now. Do dentists usually fix this at no additional cost? I had 6-11 all redone.
I recently got a new crown on tooth #7 (it had a root canal done to it before, a lot of the tooth was damaged. After my first crown the finished product looked dark and gray once he demented it. This was an all porcelain crown. I went back and he said we need to red-so it and use zarcomium?? I just got the second crown in a month in a half and it is still all dark and looks really bad. Now he is telling me I need an implant. Does anyone know why the crown keeps turning dark on the whole tooth.
Last week, I had a PFM crown replaced with all-ceramic and there's still a slight gray line at the gum margin. What is this from, and is there any way to get rid of it completely? I've been told that my whole gum area above the crown will always be discolored from the dark root showing through, but I don't understand why there's still a line. The entire crown has a slight gray dingy color to it. Is there any way to fix this after the crown has already been cemented in? Thank you in advance!
I just got a crown replaced today. My original crown broke two years and we just got the money to get it fixed. I was so anxious and happy. In the office the color appeared to match pretty well. Once I got home I noticed the porcelain crown looks gray. The dentist said my post was short and due to the root canal I would have to be very careful to not fracture the post, and kept telling me how difficult this crown was.Im so disappointed because Ive waited so long for this.
After root canal therapy, post placement, and internal whitening, the gum tissue around and above my tooth appears to not be as flush in pink color over the years. Are there possible procedures to whiten the root of a tooth after a post has been placed? Looking for specific treatment options. Cost has no weight in fixing my smile. Separate issue is darkness of margin of tooth, which, as stated by a doctor on the site, could be due to crown length causing inflammation. Advice would be appreciated
Originally I was quite worried about my crown not being the right size compared to my very small teeth so when I looked at my crown while it was being placed with temporary cement I was focusing more on that. I have now noticed a grey-white tint to the crown compared to my teeth which a yellow-white tint. How much is it to go back in and get a different shade to make it match my shade better? The color I originally choose matched my teeth very well so I'm not sure why it's grayish now.
I read that every time you get a new dental crown they have to destroy a little more of your tooth. So how many times approximately can one get his crown replaced before another crown will be out of the option? Also, I have one front tooth that turned grey due to root canal, I heard getting a dental crown on one front tooth is nearly impossible for a good match. So what are my best options to fix my dark front tooth and get matching teeth? (Half the tooth was chipped and is now pasted back on)
I noticed that at the gum line on one side of my crown it looks to be gray but not the other side. The tooth in question is the very back molar in the picture. I am concerned that something may be wrong under the crown or gum line. Thank you!
