Cons: Hair started growing longer and thicker than what I had. I had severe acne after my laser treatment.

Hi, I had my laser a year ago. I feel this strimulated more hair growth on my face where there was lighter hair. I wasn't warned about that before. My hair started growing longer than what I had before. I never had acne or breakouts till then, but after my laser I had severe acne.Please suggest what I should be doing. I am scared about getting it done again but hair on my face is very obvious, it wasn't like that before. Thank you.

I have had the same problem, only have been doing treatments for three years and continued as I felt it was my only choice because now what was a few stray dark hairs on my face is now full of fine dark hairs that are longer and more obivous than when I started. I even have slight change in the way my skin feels when I touch it. The research I have done on my own have indicated that perhaps what I have is paradoxical hypertrichosis after laser epilation. There is more and more poping up on the internet about it, but this was never disclosed to me before I started my procedure. I have fair skin and dark hair. They told me I was the perfect candidate for the hair removal.

I am planning to try electrolysis, instead of laser. People say electrolysis has been in the market long enough to see even the side affects of it. I will consult my dermatlologist and will get a reference to a good electrologist. Most of the websites say good electrologist is key for electrolysis or else it might leave permanent pits and scars on the face. From many reviews online, looks like it works but it is a very long commitment and painful process.But I still have a question at the back of my mind, "Even though electrolysis is painful and long process people will prefer that if it gurantees permanent hair remeoval, but then why are most of the people going for laser still"..Just this question makes me think to go for electrolysis. I will consult my doctor and update if you are interested.

I have had the same problem. I had laser on my face and then it started to make the hairs on my neck grow longer and coarser. I just want it to go back to the way it was before the laser. I don't know what to do. Whether i should just bleach the hair and wait for it to go back to normal, or whether i should wax the hair in the hope that it'll speed up the process of returning to the finer hair that it used to be. Do you have any suggestions?
I had Harmony AFP done which is a lazer treatment for sundamage and to help your skin get tighter. Since i didn't get a treatment done in a month i now have long black hair growing all over my face. They are trying to say it is do to harmones but read women of olive skin have been know to have this happen
