Hi there. I got chin liposuction and noticed these lines pretty quickly. I was hopeful they would go away with daily massages and wearing my compression garment but they seem to have only gotten worse. Im not even sure what they are. Its two hard lines that star from the incision and run halfway down my neck. They are very tight, it hurts to lift my neck up.
I am getting this procedure done on a Thursday and having guests over for a few hours on the Sunday. My doc has asked I wear compression for 3 days. Do you think it would hurt to take off for a few hours on the Sunday morning and back on in the afteroon and keep it on overnight?
I've gotten some quotes from places that do chin lipo. Most offer a compression garment to be worn as much as possible for a few days, then when you are going to sleep for a couple weeks. one of the places I am looking at wants me to wear a gauze wrap around my entire head for a week b4 switching. Would it be fine to do this but just buy my own compression garment and use that instead of a gauze? That way I can shower, walk my dog for a bit, grab food, and still have the wrap on for 22/24 hrs.
I had chin liposuction 2.5 weeks ago. I've been to the surgeon he says the symptoms are normal but I would just like a reality check. My neck area is extremely stiff, lumpy, hard and numb. I am wearing the head band most of the day and all evening but am going back to work on Monday. For how long do I still need to wear the band in the evenings? I am massaging the area once a day in the bath for about 10-15 minutes. Is that enough? Tx
My doctor suggests wearing chin strap after chin liposuction 2 weeks all day, and additional 4 weeks at night. But, 2 weeks seems excessive, and the strap will be embarrassing to wear. Just curious if it's really necessary to wear that long. I'm young with elastic skin that seems to go back quickly.
I am two weeks post chin lipo and I have worn the compression band almost constantly since then. Specially, Im wondering if I still need to wear it during the day or only at night and for how much longer ? Thanks !!
Im 10 days post op chin lipo. But my lower jaw is delayed, I can't smile and show my bottom teeth and I talk with a horrible lisp. Im extremely worried, that there is permanent nerve damage. The tip of my tongue is numb. Im a marketing director in my company and talking is what I do everyday. I wore my compression garment for a week 24/7 and this week started only wearing it at home. I started getting lymphatic drainage massages and they seem to be helping with the swelling, but my mouth is still drooping. HELP
