It was done 2-1/2 months ago,I dont like the size of my implant, it is small than expected The dr. did the surgery from inside due to which the stitches are up on my gums and everytime I talk/laugh I have a funny smile/funny laugh, and could feel a lump inside my mouth. Is this normal?I can feel the wing of implant on the left side too. So, i want to do revision surgery to cut those stitched muscles inside and make the implant medium side from the cut under the chin, is it possible to do it now?
Im 6 days post op, I had a chin implant through the mouth (and a nose job). My bottom lip and chin are still numb, I cant smile properly, only half a smile which is crooked. My speech is effected and Im really worried. Im still swollen (but little bruising) and my chin looks square and boxy, I feel like a man. Will I get my smile back and when will the numbness go away? Ive lost half a stone so far as I cant eat properly. I stopped taking Codeine yesterday and pain is much less today which is good.
The surgeon used screws to anchor them. I keep waiting for the feeling to come back near my mouth. But there are two spots--one on my lower lip and one on my upper--that are still very numb. They tingle often, and sometimes my speech is encumbered by lack of lip dexterity because I'm numb. It's been over a year. Is this normal? Do I have nerve damage? Will it get better? Sometimes it seems to be getting worse! What should I do?
10 days since surgery - eyelids, playtsmalplasty & submental liposuction of neck, & small chin implant. Yes, I'm (evidently) a bruiser, healing unevenly. I feel like the Dr. cut off my pinkie finger and inserted it at the end of my chin. A hard mass. Still slurring speech. Fyi, my eyes were slightly uneven to begin with.... The nurse said to kind of massage my chin, but that feels somewhat painful. Watchouts? Things I should do? or over-the-counter medicine to take? Just wait & see?
I have had a chin implant 12 days ago, my chin and lower lip is still numb, my speech is different and that makes me uncomfortable and I find my smile a little odd because my lower lip doesn't stretch as much. I wonder if I should have it removed. I would also like to know if there is a way to remove the implant to insure that there won't be any deformity in the future ? Thank you
I am 4 weeks post op after a med sized intra-oral chin implant and rhino/septo. My lower lip is numb in the center and my lips don't close easily now. I have to force them together (see pic) and my lower lip is very tight when I move it. My speech slurs and I can't chew with my mouth closed. Will my mouth heal and be normal again, and how long could that take? Should I get the implant resized? I will talk to my surgeon but this is causing me a lot of anxiety and opinions would be very welcome.
