Its been 6 months. I had buccal fat removal and a chin implant. If its swelling will steroid injections help? If not, what are the options to fix this? It made me cry the other day since it looks so mannish compared to my old chin - it looks great from the side but straight on I hate it. Could it be residual swelling?
Hi there I had a chin implant 6 months ago and my chin is now very square and the front is very flat like a paddle. It makes me look quite strange as you can quite obviously see the outline of the implant. Will this go away? Can I do anything to help mould the implant in better with the surrounding facial contours? I realise most of the time people are told to get into contact with their doctors but I had my procedure in a different country and is impossible to get hold of.
I got a chin implant, neck lipo, and a platysmaplasty about 6 months ago and i have noticed my lips getting progressively more shrunken and almost shriveled looking. The corners of my mouth appear to be pulled down like a perma-frown and there are now deep frown lines. Why is this happening and will it get better with time? What can I do? It's really really distressing, this is my first cosmetic procedure and I was so scared I would mess up my face and I'm starting to worry I did
I had a chin implant 6 months ago, and I feel like my face just looks heavy now. I pursued the implant to correct a weak chin profile and it feels like the implant gives me a second bump for my chin, sticking out too far and it falls out of line with the natural shape of my chin. We talked about not widening my jaw, but I feel that the chin implant has made my chin just look oval, completely negating the previous feminine jawline. Thoughts on a revision? Scheduled for next week.
its been 6 months since I got my chin implant and I hate it. I feel like its to big and makes my face look awkward. It only make me more self conscious. Will it stay at this size or will swelling still come down?
I got my small size extended an. silicone chin implant removed, 6months ago via submental incision. Implant stayed in only 2days removed due to not liking at all, so there was nocapsule formed. My chin is still wider and bigger than before which i think because of internal scar tissue. Chin feels squashy, looks puffy.I started massage gently since second of removal. I read that deep tissue massage need more pressure to be sucessfull is that true? Or does it stop tissues from sticking to bone?
I had a chin implant 6 months ago, I got a medium size silicone extended anatomical type, I liked that it improved my profile but I feel my chin is still under-projected, I know my jaw is weak and I have a deep labio-mental fold but my bite is ok and I don't want sliding genioplasty, Which implant would help me to get a little more projection without making my front face too square or increasing the labiomental fold too much?, Large size extended anatomical or medium size Flowers Glove type?
I had a chin implant via intraoral approach 6 months ago - in august 2011. It went completely fine. The results are more than satisfying. I did not have any problem with infection. In january my implant became infected. I was prescribed with antibiotics and the infection cleared up - completely. My questions are: -) why would a chin implant get infected after such a long time? -) Why do so many surgeons immediately jump to removal, or is this the only option, if antibiotics dont work?
6 months ago, I had chin implant surgery. A week after surgery my right mental nerve became paralyzed due to excessive swelling/inflamm. The sensation gradually started to return but 2 days ago it was removed due to uncomfortableness and the sensation on my lip not fully coming back. Now that it's out, the sensation has slightly improved but my lip is still sensitive upon touch and I feel odd sensations on my right cheek when chewing. Now that it's out, will and when my symptoms improve? Thanks.
I had a chin implant 6 months ago, I still cannot fully feel my lower lip. Feeling did return to the skin on my chin, the outside of the lip about 80%, and I can feel the tissue I can lick. Though the meat from the middle of my chin to top of the lower lip is still numb, there is lack of control and feeling. At 3 months I was instructed to be patient because I had some feeling. I was just told if I wait longer I might permanently damage my nerve. How do I assess healing and what should I do?
