I am 56 and had a deep plane face lift 1 1/2 years ago. I had mild nerve damage which has largely resolved. I feel my face is now very heavy on the bottom, especially when I smile, both at the back (where the skin may not have been pulled tight enough) and especially in the chubby cheeks I have when I smile. Can you please recommend whether Buccal Fat Removal, masseter muscle botox, cheek filler or some combination would help with this? Thank you.
I had my buccal fat pad removed on 12/Apr/19 along with Kybella resulting, I have excessive swelling and am not able to open my mouth. I was instructed by my surgeon to have 5 sessions of ultrasound therapy to aid with the discomfort along with antibiotics and pain killers. I am using all of the surgeons directions, however, it hurts to chew, use mouthwash, brush my teeth, drink water (the most basic mouth related activities). I feel as if I am being stabbed repeatedly on the inside of my mouth.
I had a buccal fat pad removal 21 days ago and I had loads more swelling on the right side than the left. I think theres a pinched nerve from the swelling on the right side affecting my top lip and surrounding areas. It isnt very extreme, it isnt very obvious I imagine. But I can tell when I speak and look in the mirror or when I try to lick the right side of my top lip. Is this normal? Will it go back to normal?
4 weeks ago I had Buccal fat removal through liposuction vs normal Buccal mucosa incision . My lower part of my cheeks are swollen and feel numb and hurt if I touch them. I am unable to sleep on my side because I will have a burning sensation where I still have swelling I can feel lumps .Not sure if is nerve damage ? swelling? Or infection?

Hi, I had buccal fat pad removal. The dr told me that on one side I didnt have the fat pad! He tried hard to find it but nothing. I was afraid of having an artery or nerve damage by trying to find the fat. Is it possible to have only one fat pad? Should I have a new surgery?? I am very concerned. What do u say? Thanks
I had my surgery yesterday the doctor started with my right side he spent 45 min to find the fat and he had a lot of work in this side the left side took only 15 min the day post I have swollen face but it is numb and very swollen in the right side is there any possibility that a nerve has been enjured or the silvery gland??and what are the signs??how can I distinguish if it is normal swell or an infection?when I touch it from inside with my tongue I feel it tender and this side is warm
