doctor said blood is too thick to aspirate . told me to wait it out .. I'm afraid that my breast is going to get deformed.. and will the hematoma come out on its own .. I feel it pretty big like a tangerine right below my nipple and it hurts..
Breast reduction 10 days ago. On day 2 large Hematoma developed on the side of breast and Spread to back. I was given a shot of blood thinner In the recovery room due to pulmonary embolism History. Dr thinks this caused hematoma. Jp drain is still in and pulling 3-4 tbls of what looks Like thick dirty motor oil . Drain site is very sore And slightly pink at opening.the black blood is about 2/3 gone But wondering if drain should still be left in. How long until hematoma heals? Very painful!!
Hello, 19 days ago I've done breast reduction and lift (I had a C+ and asked 40% less, which doctor said he did). The problem is that my left breast is twice as swollen as the right one. Surgeon says it is a hematoma and I should just wait for it to go. Could you please tell me if this is normal? how long to wait? what if doesn't go away? thank you.
Hi. I have asked my provider about this. However I would also like the views and experiences of other doctors re my incisions. It started with a scab and now at around 17 days after surgery there is separation and white tissue. I had a hematoma on left breast although it seems to be the right that has more of an issue at t junction. I have just started antibiotics and antibiotic cream. Are they healing ok? Will incision get worse before better
Hi guys! I am 2 weeks post op - the incisions have been fine. No infections or bleeding. I have had some soreness, yellow bruising, swelling and some hardness inside the breast that my PS said was normal and associated with the bruising. Today however I noticed this. Skin is yellow like the bruises but raised? Its not more painful than any other area of the breast. Its not hot. Just odd... Is this type of raised skin bruise normal post op? Is this just a normal bruise? Thanks.
Post BR 3.5 months. On my LUQ (directly on my side, about 4 below my furthest surgical incision, is a pinkish discoloration and a palpable lump. Has been there for 6 weeks. Breast doc said she felt it was unrelated to surgery. Primary care doc had an US and CT done. CT report says peripherally calcified nodule in left flank which could have been a hematoma. Is this a) a big deal?; b) likely from drainage post-surgery? And is there anything I need to do about it? PC doc seems unknowledgeable.
During the first week, I had only yellow bruising. During the start of the 2nd week, on the left, I started to feel more swollen, and had a dark bruise. On my appt. 2 weeks in, surgeon just yanked all of the tape off no adhesive remover and left me more swollen and worse purple bruising around left areola. Took off silicone sheeting when I got home, not been wearing it since and have been oozing, but now 4 days later, bruising has gone away a bit, and I have a purple hard spot on top of breast.
I had breast reduction surgery 4 weeks ago. I am thrilled with the results. However, I had really bad bruising on my right side under my arm and have now got sore lumpy patches. My surgeon has aspirated each time he has seen me, but they are still painful and hard. How long will they take to resolve, and is there anything I can do to hasten the process?
I got a breast lift/minor reduction done Novemver 23rd. Left breast has given me problems. Was really swollen/bruised etc. For the past week it has reopened at the base of the 'T' incision and bleeding constantly. This morning I gently pressed on my breast and it oozed dark red syrupy blood...is this a hematoma draining? Should I be worried about this??? Next appointment with surgeon isn't for a week...already on antibiotics and cleaning it every day. Ugh :(
