Hello! I am currently four days post op and went from a 34H to a 34C (hopefully after swelling). I am healing (painwise) very nicely and alternate prescribed anti-inflammatories every three hours. I have noticed, though, that the area under my arm/on my side is hard/stiff and sore when touched (I also put ice on them). They seem to be enlarged as well, as if my breasts extends to my side. Is this normal/swelling that will go down with time, or should I see my surgeon?
I just had a breast reduction (from a h to a c) four days ago. I went for an Appointment today and he took the drains out and the bandages off and told me I can take a shower in a few days. I asked if I needed to wear a surgical bra or a sports bra and he said no. They need to soften up. I feel really uncomfortable and was in a lot of pain all the way home. Is this a Normal practice for plastic surgeons? Everything I've read online it says that that wear a surgical bra right out of the hospital.
I cant upload my photos? I just had breast reduction surgery July 30, 2018, 4 days ago, I am feeling great, hardly any pain, my question is that I went from a cup size F to G down to a C hopefully, I am very flat with a lot of side boob. the nurse said this is common and that everything will come forward after setteling? can I expect this?
I had what looked like an allergic reaction to Tylenol 2 days post op. My surgeon said to switch to Ibuprofen. I know that's not usually ok because of the blood thinning effects. But, I had no other choice. I'm 4 days out. I stay at 400 mg, 3X a day. This is the max recommended on the bottle. I haven't been in very bad pain, but I don't want to be (obviously). Should I push through when I start to get sore and try to lessen how much I take or is it ok to keep taking that amount? Thanks.
I'm 4 days post op and the initial dressing has come off. My surgeon has used incision glue and tap (I think he may have used disolvable stitches as well). He advised me to shower and let the water and soap run over the incisions, to dry the incisions off after and replace gauze once a day. I see lots of advice about patting them dry, but the tape stays wet after. What is the risk of blow drying the incision to keep them dry? Should I pat them dry with paper towel instead of a towel?
I know this is somewhat normal but when will this subside? Will my body reabsorbe or is there anything I can do ? I also have a small seroma where the fat was taken out that feels like fluid soft not hard. Is here anything I should be doing?
My surgeon did a great job. My nipple is dark around edges and nipple but will refill after I press on it. I have an app tomorrow. He gave nitrobid 2x daily after I text him which I started tonight. Also, since applying it I feel like there's a sort of throbbing or warm sensation every so often, does this mean it's working and will get better not worse? At 4 days post op is it being caught early enough to repair as opposed to prevent further damage ?
