After a double mastectomy, tissue expanders then silicon implants I want them out.  It has been 3 months since implants.  I always feel very rigid, uncomfortable and painful, specially under arms.  I can feel the implants moving around.  I also can feel very hard tissue on the sides (under my arms).  I want them removed.  I don't care if I have nothing. ...

I am nearly at the end of my breast reconstruction, having had a nipple reconstructed on my reconstructed breast a few weeks ago. I had my right breast reconstructed and my left breast had a few procedures on it as well. As a result of having my nipple moved a few times, I no longer have any pigmentation left in it, and my PS has suggested that I should have both tattooed. I have been thinking...

I actually had a tissue expander due to an extreme size difference pre-breast augmentation surgery.  If I experienced all this, anyone who has had a mastectomy will experience x5 or x10.  I thought I was thorough and asked a ridiculous amount of questions but, my plastic surgeon has the attention span of a 2 year old and he missed a few things. 1.  I did not have to have a drain...

My history in short: Rt breast cancer diagnosed 9/10,  bi-lateral mastectomy 12/10,  memory gel implants 4/5/11. Not happy, not large enough & told him this from my first post op visit, cannot seem to get my dr to listen/hear me. Does not answer my questions, either avoids them or talks but says nothing. I had a double mastectomy (cancer only on one side), chemo and radiation.  I will soon be having my exchange surgery.  I am scheduled for the gummy bear implants with a doctor authorized to use them under the study.  I will be a medium B cup but I'm not sure which of the three profiles to choose from.  Does anybody have any feedback to help me understand the...

Had my implants put in on 9/7/11 and was wondering how long before the tightness and numbness subside?

I had a Tram 8 years ago. Besides having an abdominal bulge as result of removing the muscle, my reconstructed breast look 1/2 the size of my other breast. Last month I decided to ask my doctor to help me. He said that the tram cannot be removed, the bulge can not be repaired (I already had one surgery to put in a kind of net)and my only hope is an implant. The doc said is safe to put the...

Hopefully this will be my 5th and final surgery. Tired of all the pain and discomfort. Not happy about being flat!

Unfortunately, one of the most common side effects of Chemotherapy is hair loss, and it can be very devastating for women.  I came across an interesting treatment that apparently stops patients from loosing their hair, it is called "Cold Cap Therapy".  This hair saving device is widely used in Europe, and it claims to prevent the loss of your hair by freezing your scalp.  In...

I have both atypical ductal and lobular hyperplasia in one breast with a family history of breast cancer.  Although aggressive i am leaning toward a bi lateral mastectomy with reconstruction using the skin sparing technique with implants.  However, i cannot find any "post" surgery photos of this technique, and to be quite honest some of the after photos i am seeing on...
