My expanders are currently filled to 350cc's. My surgeon says he can only safely do one more fill of 50cc to a total of 400cc. I have Mentor Artoura Smooth high profile expanders. Im 5'4 160lbs. How big of a cup size will this get me? How much can these be overfilled? I wanted to be a large c cup or small d and he knew this prior to mastectomy. I'm very upset. What are my options? Should I seek a 2nd opinion? I had a nipple and skin sparing mastectomy with no complications.
I had a preventative double mastectomy on 9/21/17. I visited my PS last week and have to keep my drains in, however my left nipple has delayed healing. It was bruised and is now peeling, and I am doing twice daily wet dressing changes. This side (left) has 350cc of saline, however in surgery showed less blood flow than the right side. The right side has only 300cc of air and is doing very well. Is this normal, and could this have been a mistake to place MORE volume on the affected side?
I am almost done with chemo and am looking forward to completing my reconstruction within a few months. I have 375cc Mentor expanders in that are over expanded to 425cc. They were teardrop shaped and twisted so I have been dealing with lopsided rock hard boobs for a few months now. I am 5'5 and 145 lbs. I am not happy with how far apart on my chest they are. What size and texture should I consider for the most natural results?
I just finished the exchange part of my reconstruction after double mastectomy. I am just over 2 weeks post op. I am 5'6 116lbs. I have a 28 inch rib cage. My breasts are still swollen ( one side more than the other) so I don't know what my size will be. But they are round saline 360 and 370. I also had a fat graft from adbomen. Thank you very much
Reconstructive surgery due to double mesectomy. Age 45. Was a B cup size prior to mesectomy. Want to know the medical fluid amount to accommodate a C cup size. Can I ask to expand more? What would be the medical issues in doing so? Last expansion on June 2, 2016. Can expanding further be safe for me?
I had a mastectomy in Nov 2014. In March 2015 I had 200cc tissue expanders placed. I've had two 50cc fill and next week will probably be my last fill. I am 5'6 150 lbs .....I'm trying to Figure out about what size I'm going to end up with when its all said and done ??? Barely B, just a B or full B ???
I had a double mastectomy with immediate reconstruction using 395 cc mentor textured cohesive gel implants in August 2014. In March 2015 the right implant rotated 180 degrees, In April 2015 I had a surgery to put it back into place and a capsulotomy. But now, two months after the surgery since I am aware that it can happen I can feel and see that it has rotated just a little. Is there anything I can do to put it back into place or at least to make sure it doesn't rotate any further?
I had prophylactic mastectomy with expanders. I am at 350ccs and doc says my skin is too tight to expand more. I am disappointed as I wanted to be a bit larger. Is there any way around this or is this it for me?
