I had a breast lift 4 weeks ago (no implants). Both breasts started off with a scab on the T incisions, but the right one has rubbed off and is now open. I spoke with the nurse on Monday and she advised me to keep neosporn and a a bandage on it. It doesn't look any better yet. Is there anything more I should be doing to it? Should I air it out at all? I don't go back to the doctor for another 2 weeks and hate to bother him if there isn't anything else that needs to be done. No pain or fever.
I have an opening that keeps getting a scab over it. Doc says to put antibiotic ointment 2 times a day. It has not changed in 2 weeks since it opened besides getting a scab that will come off then scab again. Is there something more I can do? I am 4wpo it opened at 2wpo
The scab at T incision didn't fall off and at 3 weeks 2 days, 1/12 it opened slightly. By1/15morning it was 3 cm open vertically. I saw my PS Mon and Thur, unknown why it opened? He said its not infected. seems separation got bigger (to me)thursday visit and is still opening further. I get pain off and on in lower breast. no fvr/chills serous/yellowish d/c on drsgs w/o odor. cleaning with soap and water bid and doing wet to dry drsg bid. known cysts this brst preop. no implants. non diabetic.
Im 9 months post op for breast lift. My incision where the T meets is extremely painful to touch. Whenever I touch it, it's a sharp pain that stings. If I hold my breast up it sort of feels like it's pulling on something. Is this pain normal almost a year after surgery?
I am 3 weeks post op after a mastopexy (no implants) with stratus mesh. This wound is not healing well. My surgeon gave me iodine dressings to apply but I'm worried about the scar it is going to leave. My other breast has healed beautifully and the scarring is barely visible already. Will this heal in time and should I be concerned about the scar?
