I had a Benelli lift/areloa reduction 1 year ago. Shortly after surgery, large scabs formed as the areola separated from the breast (deep sutures only with tape outside) which eventually turned to scars. I asked my dr. and he said this was perfectly normal. 6 months ago I inquired again as the scars weren't improving & he told me to wait a full year. I've had a number of procedures w/out any issues and my skin has never had trouble with scarring before. Can anything be done?
I had a mommy makeover including a breast lift with implants three weeks ago. Healing nicely except for a few scabs on my right nipple and a scab under each breast at the t incision. I read conflicting information whether to keep the scabs dry, even by wearing no bra at night to air them out? Or to keep them moist with ointment and to cover with non-stick pads? If ointment is the correct action, which ointment? Vaseline, Neosporin, Polysporin, etc.
Scab fell off nipple 3 weeks post breast lift op. I had a breast lift on my right side almost 4 weeks ago. I have been healing well and put silicone strips to the scars, but yesterday when I pulled the strip off the scab came off too! In the pic you can see that there was abit off puss and it had a bad odour to it. On same boob I also felt a lump towards my armpit but dr thinks its trauma from surgery. Maybe they're connected? Today, it doesnt look like theres and the nurse told me all looks fine but isnt pus a sign of infection?
I noticed a small hole where my lollipop incision is under my left breast 2 nights ago. I had some scabs on my right nipple also, so I placed gauze on the areas to keep them from rubbing me while wearing my sports bra, and I woke up to this and I am worried but not panicking yet. what do I do? My plastic surgeon is in another state. do I keep these spots dry and air them out?
I had a breast lift over a year ago. My scars are becoming extremely itchy and Ive been mindlessly itching them - side note I am already unhappy and would like a revision so I dont think before I itch - but when I do stop and think i become worried that it will make the scar worse! They peel and there was even some bleeding today! Is this normal?
My nipple/areola is finally healing from a really bad scab after a lift with implants. Im 3.5 mo post op now. After day one it was purple, then black, then pus and scabbed for a couple of months, finally just pink now. My question is will it ever remotely match their other ? Or is this basically just a huge scar that I will be left with at this point? Thanks for your input.
Is this going to grow back as normal sick or will the aerola skin grow back? I'm scared i'm going to have a half areola, will it become round again? or will it look deformed?
I have an opening that keeps getting a scab over it. Doc says to put antibiotic ointment 2 times a day. It has not changed in 2 weeks since it opened besides getting a scab that will come off then scab again. Is there something more I can do? I am 4wpo it opened at 2wpo
Most of my stitches have fallen out but I have three larger knots that havent fell out and a scab thats starting to open up on one of them at the bottom of my nipple. I just want to be sure this isnt something I should be concerned about. And wondering if I need to do anything about the semi-open scab?
I had a breast lift 5 weeks ago. I had breast implants a few years back and my PS and decided to keep the original implants in. After the surgery he told me because he could not cut to deep as not to hit the implant I might have scabing on my areolas. The left breast has healed beautifully but my right one has gone from dark to terrifying. I have spoken to my PS many times about this he says I am having poor circulation and to leave it alone and let the scabs fall of on there own. Help!
