I have two holes. One in each breast. My doctor suggested a wet to dry patch but it doesn't seem to be getting any better. It actually seems worse. My follow up is next week and it will be 3 weeks since seeing the dr. I'm getting worried.
I had a small opening at the "T". I am NOT a smoker. Today I saw my PS and he thought that it was a suture not allowing it to heal. He debrided it. It is now a hole. I trust my doctor but it all happened so fast I forgot to ask some questions. Since he debrided does that mean I have some necrosis? Will it heel quickly now? Is this uncommon? I have a silver patch on it now. He wants to see me weekly now. I'm scared. Will it get bigger? I have no infection. Is the silver patch proper protocol?
I have puss like holes on my incision my doctor sId its normal but I have not seen any progress Im 6 weeks post pop? My right breast is healed but now has one hole my left breast looks terrible and the bottom incision has holes and their are holes around the nipple I find it hard believing this is normal
I noticed it 5 days ago and my surgeon had me start applying aquacel however after 5 days it has gotten larger and theres now a hole. Im pretty scared at this point. He has asked me to come in on Saturday to fly in TJ for him to examine. He instead I needed to go, which is making me worry. Please advise
I had a second breast lift and augmentation 7 and a half weeks ago. The first one was 2 years ago and I healed wonderfully. This time, 6 weeks post op I noticed one of my breast had oozing right in the middle of my vertical incision line. I've harassed my PS 's office in hysteria and they have been super awesome and helpful. Apparently, I'm spitting sutures. Why is this happening and when will it stop? When will this close?
I had an abcess from a spitting stich in the past and was able to remove the knot myself with tweezers. I attempted to do this on another stitch that I thought was working its way out. Bad idea. I wasn't able to find or remove it. Now I have a hole. I'm afraid I left myself worse off. If I leave it alone, will it heal normally? I alternate letting it breathe and covering it with bandage and antibiotic ointment. I am upset that I have done this. Please advise. My surgeon is across the country
I'm 5 weeks PO breast lift no implants. Two weeks ago my left breast became red and swollen. PS said it was a seroma and put me on antibiotics. A couple days later I had a small opening under my breast that started draining. In the last two weeks the openings have continued to get bigger. My board cert PS is instructing me on wound care from another city. Wanting some additional reassurance that this will heal and even if it opens all the way it will still be ok. It's scaring me.
my incisions split 4 days ago, I'm now 15 days PO after a full anchor lift with sub-muscular silicone implants. The hole is getting bigger. There is no pain (just stinging when washed), no redness, and the drainage doesn't smell bad. My Dr keeps assuring me it's common, and it will heal to just keep it clean and covered, but it's getting worse. I'm concerned and want to make sure I'm Taking care of this right. How long will it take to see improvement?
I see patients who have developed holes in the incisions, infections or necrosis and wonder why these cant be cleaned and closed rather than left gaping like I often see? Also I see a lot of issues at the T of the incision on breast lifts due to the intersection, can't extra stitching or some type of proactive prevention be used?
