I am 5 1/2 weeks post op after a Breast lift and implants, with dissolvable stitches. I noticed a day ago I have a wound like opening on one of my Incision lines. No swelling, or pain. Does this look like a concern or can I care for this wound myself with bandages and polysporin?
Its been 1 month since I had my breast lift and augmentation surgery with a surgical mesh. 2 days after my surgery I developed a blister and was told to remove the tapes and apply vaseline. once I removed the tapes the blister opened and I believe removed skin and stitches. I was told to apply Telfa with Neosporin and wash it 2 a time which I do but it doesnt seem to be getting better. Now it seems like I have a huge whole where the incision was. My Ps says he wants to clean it up and re stitch it and in the mean time put silver sulfadiazine on it. It doesnt hurt but I have an achy feeling Im not sure if its the wound or the mesh. But worst case he would have to redo the entire surgery on my left breast. Can someone just tell me if its getting better or worse. I am so worried.
So everything has been going well. My right breast has dropped but my left one is taking longer but Im not worried since this is normal. However, I just noticed this open wound around my nipple, where my stitches are. Im not sure if necrosis can still happen this late in the game or what exactly it is.
The nurse practitioner removed a few stitches 2 weeks ago. She did leave a small opening on my right breast after she removed the stitches but it healed after about a week. But now that same area has opened up & is discharging which looks like pus. After inspecting the area I found another stitch wanting to come out. I was able to cut the stitch & disinfected the area. Will this cause any issues with scarring & will it heal ok?
Hi I am 40 years old, 4 weeks post op. Both breasts have issues with the incision separating. I am being very inactive, globbing on silvadine cream 2x day for the past 10 days. The right breast with a fairly small implant 275cc implant is severely split. It started 2 days after removing the tape and has been getting worse. The surgeon swears the cream will resolve but takes several weeks. I am really concerned as to what to do. She states closing now could cause infection. Please, any input?
right breast has separation at the T junction and Ive been cleaning with soap and water and putting a bandage to avoid friction from my sports bra on the wound. Well just now when I was checking on it, liquid literally dripped down onto my stomach and when I pushed a little to see if anything would come out, I could hear fluid inside my breast bubbling a bit. No pain that Im aware of. This breast was tuberous before the lift & augmentation. What should I do?
Post 4 weeks from breast aug and lift and have been on contact for 1 week now on antibiotics and terrasil and as the two other open wounds are closing but slowly the concern now is the wound getting larger at the T intersection. My PS doesn't seem concerned and said this will heal with time. Is this normal?
Two weeks post op, I had several spitting stitches. I was fine with that, but then developed a sore that opened up on my suture line that spit several stitches. Six weeks in, I have another wound that has opened, but does not appear to have stitches showing. I am concerned about infection and the possibility of the whole suture line opening up.
I had breast lift with implants...when I got my bandages taken off the nurse said I had a small cut and put a small bandaid strip on it..when I took it off it was oozing puss and the cut is now. Large gap I'm kinda of far from my surgeon I've sent photos and gotten no reply please help I've been cleaning it with peroxide and putting non stick pad on it with antibiotic ointment will this heal on its own? Should I be worried? What can I do?
