I had a BL and BA 3 weeks ago. My doctor recommends that I wear an underwire bra for 4 weeks. I have 100% confidence in my doctor, however Id like to hear other doctors opinions on wearing or not wearing an underwire post op. Based on research, most doctors urge against underwire. Just wondering why. Thanks!
First off I would like to thank all the doctors for their amazing responses to all the patients concerns . It really helps put my nerves at ease. I am 3 weeks post surgery and healing great . II started walking on the treadmill on an incline at the gym but I want to do more . Before surgery I was working out intense and did a lot of jumping and weights. I know my doctor said no push ups , bench press, or any chest exercise but I forgot to ask about planks.
Is this a fungal infection? When will I see a change? 3 weeks post op from a breast lift and augmentation. Saturday I was told to take the remaining tape off, and when I did it became red and a little raw and now a week later it is still red, a little warm, and peeling. I went to my plastic surgeon. And he said that he doesn't know what causes this but that he has seen this before and it looks like a fungal infection. and told to start applying LOTRIMIN ULTRA and prescribed BACTRIM DS. Has anyone else experienced this with their patients?
PS put in a 220cc in 1 and 520cc in other? He says my left breast would not close.I also had a lift with implants. My left nipple was turning black so he removed the 520cc, I had to wait 3 weeks with only 1 implant in and now after surgery I was told I need to wait 3 months due to scar tissue and he couldnt close the 520cc so instead he replaced it with a 220cc. Im very confused. PLEASE HELP!
I'm 3 weeks post BA (under muscle) BL (lollipop) with Galaflex mesh. I have been healing well but tonight when I tried to close a window (with one hand stupidly) I had a sharp pain along the entire bottom of that breast where the mesh would be.I feel ok, little sore, but the pain when it happened was so intense it has me worried. Are there any signs I can look for that the internal bra stitching may have been torn? Was that pain maybe just a normal feeling from using that muscle before being healed?I Hope I'm overreacting.
Im 25 days PO. I had a breast lift w implants 375 extra full profile but I feel my implants are too high, and the nipples are too low with a square shape. I wear a band to make them go down for two weeks but they havent change much. Is this normal at this point? They are going to end up with a nice round shape? The nipple will get its regular position or not? Also I feel hard spots inside the left breast, my doctor say its normal but Im not sure. Should I seek for a second opinion?
I had lollypop lift aug 5th 300cc implant sub muscular My steri strips are making my skin itchy and sometimes tingling Is it an infection starting ? Or jus wound healing ? Iv no drainage or fever Also how long do you recommend wer ring steri strips ? I changed them myself 1 week post op an was told to let these ones fall off when they do should I put new ones on ?
I am 18 days post op after BA with a lift. My implant's width is smaller than my BWD and under the muscle. I've had swelling over my sternum since surgery. My PS had me begin doing cleavage massages one day post-op, and that helped reduce the swelling a lot, but it is still there. I've been sleeping on my back at an incline and icing occasionally. I haven't really been worried about symmastia, but the swelling does make me nervous. How can I help the swelling go down?
