I have 7-year-old silicone breast implants. I was recently diagnosed with tubular breast cancer, grade 1, negative lymph nodes, 7mm mass (T1bN0M0). I had a lumpectomy on my right breast at 10 o'clock with local tissue rearrangement by an oncologic plastic surgeon. I am projected to have localized radiation. What is the rate of capsular contraction of radiated silicone breast implants? Does pentoxifylline and vitamin E reduce the risk of capsular contraction?
I got a breast aug a little over two months ago. Saline, under muscle, incisions in the boob fold, 590cc left and 610cc right. My left has not dropped at all, but my right has substantially. The left is not firm and it is not painful so I am uncertain if I should be worried about capsular contracture. I am in another state then my dr but I emailed him pictures and he put me on accolate and doubled my dose of vitamin E and I massage aggressive 5x a day.
(Collage pic from top to bottom is 1 week, 3 weeks and 5 weeks post-op) Since the surgery, my breast have been uneven. The left is not dropping very much. My doctor put me on Singulair and vitamin E as well as a twice daily rigorous massage almost 3 weeks ago. Why am I not seeing the change? Was something done incorrectly? My pre-op pic is included.
I made an apt with my surgeon a little after 3 months post op about my concerns. Harding of my left breast, bleeding from the nipple when massaging it, and very painful when massaging. I would squeeze it but it wouldn't squeeze very much because of how hard it's becoming. He said it wasn't Capsular Contracture it was the muscle, to take vitamin E, and to keep massaging vigorously but it keeps getting worse. How much would it be to fix it if that's the case? (silicone, 560, Natrelle, Allergan).
My right breast feels a little bit firmer then the left and in order to prevent further hardening of the capsule I have been taking 800mg of vitamin E for six weeks. Is it safe to take large amounts of vitamin E and for how long should I take them? Can I expect any improvement or will it just stop the capsule from developing more scar tissue or is this not going to help at all?
My breasts are still hard 10months post op I got 325cc under the muscle. Since they are still hard I have been taking singulair for the past 2 months with vitamin E. A few days ago I noticed when I massage there is now a clicking sound. What is this? Is it the singular working? Or false hope? Should i massage even harder? I really don't want to have surgery again as my surgeon is overseas and I have no $$.
