Why do many plastic surgeons recommend more under the muscle placements, rather than over the muscle, when there are a lot more problems with under the muscle placement (especially lateral displacement & animation deformity compared to capsular contracture with over the muscle placement)? That doesn't include the other problems that come under the muscle such as capsular contracture, bottoming out and double bubble.
Hi I'm scheduled for ba in March and I'm worried about my choice of implant. At my last appointment I decided on 445cc moderate silicone implant over the muscle. My surgeon said that with my bwd I wouldn't be able to go smaller than 405cc but when I tried on the sizer I was afraid that it wouldn't fill out my existing breasts. Should I go with 405cc or 445cc? And will going over the muscle with this size make them sag faster?
I went for a consultation for breast implants (255 cc) and the assistant told me I would have to go over the muscle. She said if I wanted to go under the muscle they would have to do a breast lift as well. I am looking for a second opinion. I am 4 11 athletic build, 110lbs and low body fat. I am training for a body building competition. Could I still go under the muscle?
I have tubular breasts and my surgeon told me that going over the muscle would be the best solution, and that i don't need an areola reduction or a lift, only breast implants will fix them. I'm a little unsure about his decision, can my breast shape be fixed with only implants, no lift? He also suggested going with 300cc high profile implants, do they seem like a good size for my breasts and built?
42yo 53 122# 34B. Used to have an athletic build (now I m a softy). But still have pronounced pectoral muscles and a double bouble of dense breast tissue. Looking for a C cup again with Upper Pole slightly curved or natural slope. Want something that will age gracefully with me. One doc suggested subglandular, another submuscular. Placement and shape suggestions?
Im not going big, I picked around 350-375 cc in my consultation but I want to go over the muscle only if it will have natural results I dont want the top of them to look round and pasted on Im just not sure if I have enough tissue
I am a 22yo female, 53, 140 lbs. Im scheduled for a breast augmentation 12/10. Due to my pseudoptosis my doctor is recommending placement of the implants over the muscle, to avoid double bubble. However, my gut is telling me to go under the muscle. I am trying to achieve a round breast with good upper pole fullness. I know all cases are different but almost all OTM before and afters Ive seen have a more natural look, and the implant sits lower. So which placement would you recommend? Thanks
Hello! Im a 33y, 34A, no kids breast implant candidate seeking advice on over the muscle placement. I have low body fat as Im an avid weightlifter. In a consultation, the surgeon suggested I go over the muscle given my anatomy + desire to continue my high activity level. My main concern is having the bolted on aesthetic. Have you seen good results for over the muscle implants? Any guidance is appreciated! I also have a wide breast bone gap, but nice pecs :) thanks!
I would prefer over the muscle as that's where natural breast tissue sits plus I don't want to feel the implant when I work out. There are many reports from ladies saying you can feel the implant when you work out chest. Do I have enough natural breast to go over? Would probably only do about 330 cc
