My breasts are sagging following a revision surgery, which was a total capsulectomy to undo capsular contracture with the addition of Strattice. Is a simple capsulorrhaphy a reasonable solution to my current ptosis/bottoming out, or do I need some sort of internal bra either using Strattice of Galaflex in order to support the weak breast tissue? Would Galaflex increase my chances of the capsular contracture returning? I am also considering explant surgery though I have little natural tissue.
Updated: I had a breast augmentation revision last year after My right implant ruptured. The surgeon over dissected the pocket towards the midline / cleavage area and towards the armpit. Now I can see that one breast is clearly wider than the other and crosses the midline, so to take up more of the cleavage area. It just does not look symmetrical in shape. Whats the recommended technique to make the pocket smaller so that my breast is not crossing the midline? I dont want smaller implants, just symmetry,
I had my first breast augmentation in October 2021. I only had 290CC under muscle. I am very small build and lean. Right after surgery I was unhappy with how far apart my implants were, I hardly wore a bra after the 6 week healing period and after a few months my implants were severely Bottomed out. I went for a revision 6 months ago with the same implants placed under muscle again with Capsulorraphy and Durasorb mesh and wearing supportive bra everyday . They are bottoming out again. What do I do?
I had bilateral capsulorrhaphy 7 months ago and while the result on my left breast is fantastic, I fear my right one is bottoming out again. I am wondering if from the pictures given, it seems like it will continue to deteriorate or if it seems stable - if the latter, I can be content, if the former, I would likely pursue a more substantial revision with more internal support.
I recently had my old saline implants exchanged for high profile, gummy bear implants along with the capsulectomy in my right breast. I immediately bottomed out. Im wondering what the best option would be for me. I have three different consultations with three different options. 1. Full anchor lift with galaflex 2. Lift at bottom of breast with Strattice 3. Capsulorrhaphy I did not need a lift when I had my implants exchanged but now I have extra skin from bottoming out.
I had naturally large breast that deflated after nursing my children. In 2017 I had a breast lift only. In Nov 2022 opted to have implants. After implant placement I had a lot of lateral displacement, in March 2023 I had the popcorn capsulerropathy procedure to tighten the pockets. It helped some. I still get this weird tugging of the medial lift scar that I am very self conscious about. When I push them up it goes away. would a larger implant, fuller on top help?
After just 8 weeks of my primary breast augmentation (a modest 300cc) my left implant has moved laterally & slipped making a larger space between the implants AMsurgeon has finally acknowledged there is a problem, and she is offering a revision. Said I neended a capsulorraphy. I was told to use the same implants that they would be fine So my questions are, are there risks using implants that have been out of the body? If thesize implant we used and the under the muscle placement
I have 475 HP silicone implants done ten years ago. Although, I havent had any issues with the implant, I never achieved the improvement in shape I was hoping. I describe my breasts as tuberous, small, and have nurse three babies (pre BA). Now Im interested in a replacement/revision. Recommendation was: Exchange for 425, capsulorrphaphy and donut lift. Other doctor said I have a wide chest wall and theres not much we can do other than exchange for same outcome. Thoughts?
I went through a breast capsulorrhaphy on my right breast. He didn't use galaflex, he just gave permanent internal stitches. It looks much better than before but I still notice my right breast is slight lower than the left. Is it worth it to redo it? Is it possible that it will fall more? Is there anything I can do to improve this result? I went to another doctor and she recommended using a support on my right breast to make it more lifted while is still healing. Does that really help?
Ive had my breast augmentation a little over a year ago. They started to move out of place , one side more than the other in the past 2 months. My surgeon said they still look pretty good, which I agreed. But its very uncomfortable since I can feel the implants moving around with every single movement I make. Theres a pulling and pushing sensation too. He gave me 2 options: bigger implants, or capsulorrhaphy but that might give me asymmetry and symmastia. Is it worth a shot fixing?
