I am 31 and had 300 ml round textured silicone implants put in 10 years ago. I used to be an A cup now a C cup. Afterwards, I had areola reduction done in a separate procedure to fix my enlarged puffy areolas using a purse string suture that broke on the right side immediately after the procedure and led to a stretched out scar. I also have a subtle double bubble under my left breast. I would like to remove my implants and correct my main problem - scarred areolas and not sure how to proceed? TY
Four years ago I did breat augmemtation, but my scares developed into kiloid scars. I feel realy bad about the scars I feel uncomfortable and unconfident to look at it or feel it . Now I am planning to remove my silicone implants and do breast fat transfer. my questions are: will the scares get worse after silicone removal? Or can the surgeon cut the old scars off? Can I have the fat transfer immidiately straight after the implants removal? Thank you for your tips in advance. Mona,
Hello there! I have my donuts type surgery done2years ago after which I was left with horrible scars around my areola ( there was also areola reduction done) . However one year ago my surgeon has performed another surgery to correct the scars which didnt work at all and my scars are still the same . So , Im wondering if I have to remove my implants ?? Also can I opt for donuts surgery again since I dont want to be left with another scarring (with vertical T scarring ).
Two weeks post op, recovery going better than I ever expected, healing nicely but both incision scars under my breast are not smooth...just a bit fleshy/puffy the whole length of scar. What possibly caused this result? Thank you, for taking my question.
I had my implants removed and had a capsulectomy, and a capsulotomy done on the right side (I got CC twice). Now the bottom of my breast crease seems to have contracted upwards and have lost some volume on the bottom outside of my breast. It also seems that my tissue is stuck to my muscle because when I push my breast to have cleavage, the center most part doesn't move. Maybe considering fat grafting but am afraid of cysts.
I had a breast implant removal along with a mastopexy 10 months ago. One month after the surgery, my dermatologist found that the scars were a little bit swollen, so she told me to put corticoid cream. Now they are flat but wide (up to 1 cm width). I need a scar revision. I think that an excision and suture is the only solution to make them thinner. Are there methods that you would recommend ? Specific stiches ? Dissolvable or regular suture ? Sorry the pictures are upside down.
i had my implants removed. orginal site was tuba, so dr placed new incisions for removal. she placed them much higher than my creases stating it would keep my bras from irritating the scars, but one is placed very high onto my breast and is now tethering inwards. is this fixable with scar revision or will it get better with time? implants were removed 6 days ago. i am devastated as breasts would look great if scars were properly placed. she denies they are too high.
